How many players do you think we will actually sign before the window slams shut?
Also will they be last minute deals?
It is getting pretty close to the start of the season.

 

If any quality players of any position are available i.e. Lemina, I am sure we will sign them.

Otherwise, we will be after CF, (ball playing) CB, LB, WF and maybe a more defensively minded DM.

 

I predict the window will be closed gently

 

Obviously it's difficult to tell at this stage whether there would be any late ones. By the time August 31st comes around we'd have played 3 league games and 1 league cup game. Of those I'm not expecting anything out of the Liverpool game but if we are struggling to compete with Muff and Brighton then we would have to do some late business, likewise if we pick up any injuries to key players in that time.

This. Gibbs, Abdennour or similar, Fosu on loan, Carrillo and a striker and we'd be set. Don't think we need a keeper just yet.

And don't dare sell Doucoure.

i expect we will sign as many over 21 players as we have slots to fill in the squad. That will also be affected by those exiting in the remainder of the window. The eight home grown has always been under represented to date but the 17 overseas players (over 21) is the one where we will find the best value and greatest opportunity to improve the squad ability - we are simply priced out of proven technically superior players to those we already have. Looking at the squad i reckon that's two home grown senior signings and two overseas so four more in total

 

I'd like to see Gibbs Lennon Ricardinho mensah on loan by the 12th. And a new keeper Carrillo and vermallen by end of window.

Not weak, we just need to get more time in the gym before window closes to carry them all.

 

I'll go with that and add in Lemina.

 

Definitely in need of at least 1 if not 2 strikers and a left back
Another GK and CB if the right players are available, but neither are priority
Who ever is going to replace Capoue

 

A gk is not a priority at the moment unless an opportunity arose. We have enough CBs but only Prodl is nailed on starter so Mensah-Fosu would be ideal or a real substantive upgrade like Abdennour. Would much prefer him to Gibbs. Which takes us to LB. As I have said before would luv Samir from Udinese. Another Brazilian who can cover Left CB (Britos) or LB (Holebas). Happy for Gino to give his Dad both of our players in exchange (I.e. Out to pasture in Seria A). Another winger would be particularly nice with Ghezzal as free and better than Carrillo and Lennon. Finally a striker as Sinclair will go on loan. Even if Success is pushed to the front that still leaves a vacancy as see Richarlison as Bergy replacement. Simeone or similar please as Iheanacho nailed on for City by all accounts. Finally if Capoue goes I think we would all want Lemina. If all this happens I predict we would finish 10 or 12 rather than 13 - 15 in EPL.

I've heard after our Villa performance, Silva has now had a change of heart, is 100 % happy with the squad and believes we are now caple of achieving more points than Hull did last season.
