Watford have put in a double bid for Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson. This is good news, as Hoskins is a talented player, whats Williamson like?
Attacking midfielder - bye bye Springy. Oh Springy, Springy used to be a scummer and he's going back now.
From good old wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Williamson Lee Williamson (born 7 June 1982) is an English footballer who plays for Rotherham in Coca-Cola League 1. He is wideley regarded as one of the best players in League 1, recently attracting interest from many large clubs in the Championship, including Leeds United and Luton. However, none of the clubs interested came close to Rotherham's valuation of the talented young player. Chairman Dennis Coleman allegedly said that he would not let him go for "less than a million". However, it is assumed that this was an exaggeration and that he would be allowed to leave the club for somewhere in the region of half that amount. Barnsley FC are the most recent team to show interest in Lee, making a offer of £200,000. 1 Lee started his career at Mansfield where he established a fine record of making around 150 appearances in his stay at Field Mill - a fine record for a young player. The busy midfielder then moved to Northampton early in the 2004/05 season where he quickly established himself as an automatic choice in the Cobblers first team. Lee joined Rotherham United in the Summer of 2005, and brought a touch of steel to the midfield area. He loves to get forward in support of the attack as demonstrated by netting four goals - something he will be looking to improve on even more this season. His consistent excellent performances quickly established him as one of the best midfield players in the division. Speaking to Radio Sheffield, boss Alan Knill said, "Theres lots of speculation about Lee, and there always will be. In my mind Lee is one of if not the best midfielder in the division." Asked if Williamson was happy staying at Rotherham, Chairman Dennis Coleman replied with "Yeah, Ive just come off the phone to his agent, he's spoke to Lee and he's very happy here." "We've had a lot of interest in Lee but at the end of the day nobody has come up with our valuation of him. We're serious about building this team up, Alan's built a fantastic squad up and we're now a match for anybody in this division, it's just unfortunate that we're on the minus 10." Williamson wears shirt number 15 for the Millers, and has started 17 games this season, scoring five times.
I've looked up both these guys on youtube. Hoskins scores Rotherham's second goal here and Williamson scores their third (Williamson's goal is very good and from the looks of it he is a very quick, confident and two-footed): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYGYR6ej9qI You see a fair bit of Hoskins in this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2roisN9BjvI A good Hoskins finish here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaTr-XuKG_M Williamson scoring a free-kick and penalty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNQtgUNdXu0 And Williamson doing awfully on the Loads O Balls challenge on SN: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNQtgUNdXu0
Both look good, although it is a big step up to the Prem. Having said that they should be highly motivated because even our changing rooms will be 5 star luxury against their portacabin - not to mention making up the 10 point deduction.;D
We have to make up a 10 point deduction as well pretty much to stay up at the moment, so he should feel right at home.
Well I just put £10 on Hoskins signing for us, so hopefully, unlike Saganowski, he'll end up at our club and will be good.
