Two of our likely transfer targets both scored today. Hoskins netted both goals in Rotherhams 2-2 draw with Orient while Sharp bagged one in Scunthorpe's 3-2 win over Bournemouth that sends them top. Aidy has said he will take a risk in January and I believe he will go for younger lower-league players. My money is on Hoskins as Aidy seems to have some form of "arrangement" going with Rotherham - I wouldn't be at all surprised if we did some form of cash plus player deal. Where will Springy be come Jan 31?
Interesting points there, i can't see both of them coming as i believe the other striker we hopefully sign will be one of more experience at this level. I hope so anyway.
I agree we have a small squad and shouldn't be letting people go but if there's one position where we are "well endowed" it's in CM. If he does go then i'd like to see a creative CM come in his place as we are lacking somebody to pull the strings in midfield.
Possible targets for Aidy Calum Davernport - CB Anthony Gardner - CB One of these to From Spurs both good center backs and both not getting first team football , Gardner yet to play this season. Maybe a loan deal with the option of purchese. David Nugent (CF)- The obvious although expensive a good buy at the end of the day but would he leave P.N.E when they will probley we playing prem league football next season. Alan Smith (CF)- On loan not going to play there this season and surely Man Utd would like him to play and get his fitness and focuss back for next season , also got relagation battle experince with leeds , although has got a temper issuse. Jobi McAnuff (Midfield)- Surely Aidy Must be looking at him to strengthern the midfield. Matt Holland (CM) Must be worth a look , although charlton being in the same situation we are , unlikely to sell , also very loyal and unlikey to leave. Heidar Helguson (CF) Apparently at the game today , although we would all love to see him back i doubt it will happern , offers already turned down for him and hes' in favour at fulham Collins John (CF) I can see him coming in , out of favour maybe again on a loan deal with the option to buy.
I hope we sign Sharp and Hoskins, give them some experiance in the Premiership then lets Blitz the Championship next year. Add Mcanuff and a CH (I like the Gardner rumour form Spurs) we are then looking good again. ;D
