Hodgson Out

Pozzo won’t spend a penny in the championship. The only reason we will have a big budget will be because of all the duds on big wages that we can’t shift. It’s not like we are going to give the new boss a big transfer kitty.

 

We need to sack the caretaker manager appointed til the end of the season and replace him with another caretaker manager til the end of the season, maybe Riza.
There's no point in trying to appoint the manager we want for next season now and starting him off with a run of soul-destroying defeats with a squad which will change dramatically in the summer, and a load of fan abuse. That can all wait until the start of next season.

 

Its not just the Managers, we have had so many, the players must take a major share of the blame.

 

It's the overall recruitment not being good enough as some have pointed out. We've had a promotion winning manager, a PL winning manager, and a former England manager. And we are still as good as going down.

 

This is nonsense. The club don’t do interviews.

They skip straight to the phone call offering the job.

Watford players and staff are a soft touch, have been for years now. Even Everton players started a little shoving match last night presumably because they were pissed off about getting battered. Ours help opposition players back to their feet and collect their shirts after games.

 

More of a dig at our players being so passive and having a general losers mentality.

 

Yeah, I wish I players were miserable, vindictive ****s like Roy. At least you have to have a bit of backbone to stand in front of your fans each week and call them out repeatedly, or take potshots at the players and shitshow our club is right now.

I think it’s great that’s he’s come in and realized that it’s such a dumpster fire, the best he can do is pour petrol on the flames.

We’ve got the manager we deserve, pretty much.

I’d like to think he ghosts Duxbury and Gino whenever they try and call. That’s the only way he’d ever be redeemed in my eyes.

 

I’ve heard Mr Bennet from Take Hart is free for the caretaker role .

 

Roy is quoted as saying “I mean, what is a must win? The simple answer is when there is not enough games and points left for you to get out of the relegation zone”

If that is his take on it we’re in even more of a pickle.

Best manager in terms of media handling since Walter Mazzari. I really like him speaking truths, however unpalatable to some. My estimation of him went up greatly when he told Leventhal (d.h.) off.

Speaking as a dinosaur football supporter, I like having a dinosaur manager.

Leventhal blows smoke up his arse and Hodgson begrudgingly praises the hierarchy and the fans as if he has a gun to his head. So pretty much exactly as you'd expect from the masters of spin in the PR department.

I maintain that the apathy and feeling around Hodgson’s tenure has the prospect of doing real damage over the summer and next season if he’s allowed to continue until the end of the season.

Make a change and at least try and get someone in to lift the mood between now and then. That’s a bloody hard task but I really do fear that this short tenure of Hodgson could do huge damage.

 

11 conceded in 4 games. He's certainly made us better defensively.
