Hi, Recently been in discussion with a friend of mine in the Netherlands re Berghuis. They are surprised at his performances for Holland recently but feel its a 'blip' if an improvement. Here's his suggestion " Regarding new players for the premier league I have the hottest insider tip for you. Currently at FC Twente Hikim Ziyech is on display for sale. Without a doubt one of the best or the best player on Dutch pitches in last season and definitely of quality. Certainly no Berghuis mediocracy. So if Watford has some loose pocket money left to spend, let them spend it on Hakim! Don't let Middlesborough get away with this gem." Do any of our experts on here know much about this player?
Very very skillful player, no doubt about that. With Twentes recent financial problems it's no surprise that they're wanting to cash in. Probably won't be too cheap though, probably twice the price of Berghuis, if not more.
Agreed he would be a great signing. At one stage last season he had the highest goals and assist rates of any player in Europe, if my memory serves me correctly.
No nothing about him, but if he is on the radar a cash + Berghuis deal might be attractive to Twente?
Would be a great signing. ESPN did an article claiming he would cost 10m Euros, and they have severe financial issues so could be less, especially if they are relegated. That works out just under £8m so could be worth a shot
I believe he is meeting Messi's representatives today so hasn't had chance to see this crucial thread.
Looks like they just randomly threw a bunch of premier league clubs in there. Wouldn't read too much into it.
Then again, I'd be very surprised if we, and a host of PL teams, hadn't looked at him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
