My sources say Milan are being investigated for betting irregularities, seems they threw the match. Udinese did NOT win this by fair means.
Reminds me of this quotation: “It is wise not to believe everything one reads on the internet.” Abraham Lincoln
So our competition winner, who we let play away to Reading in the cup, now their 3rd choice keeper plays a blinder away to Juventus! Hamer was also 3rd choice 2 seasons ago and looked a little ring rusty at first! Good omens for Okoye!
His shot-stopping stats have been very impressive since coming in, conceding 8 non penalty goals from 10.72 post-shot xG. That's currently the 2nd best ratio in the league (although he has only played 8 games!)
How good were the shots though? I once had the best clear up rate for outstanding debts in the business, I just wrote off everything unpaid that was more than 18 months outstanding.
Our resident ski instructor said he was rubbish though!! You do have to question what on earth happened to him at Watford. Highly thought of when he came in. Looked awful in the brief appearances he made for us and now seems to be playing well again at Udinese!
5th bottom, one point outside the drop zone, and away to the team immediately below them this evening in a crucial match.
I guess relegation would mean less funds in the Pozzo coffers for funding us and less ability to attract and retain quality players into the network?
Davis and Kabs unused subs. Success comes on in the first minute of the 3 for added on time and a minute later they concede
Weirdly, we’ve already lost all benefit that we had at the start in terms of just borrowing much better players than we’d otherwise have access to, so relegation couldn’t make something that has completely stopped worse. But, there would certainly be no Kamara type shenanigans available, and they’d lose a lot of their better players, so the prospect of ever getting back to those early days would be non existent.
Udinese have appointed Fabio Cannavaro as their new head coach. He has been linked with Watford in the past, but his appointment does appear to be a huge gamble. He has enjoyed success coaching clubs in China, but his only coaching appointment in Italy was with Benevento (Serie B) - from September 2022 until February 2023 - and that did not go well.
At least Cannavaro gets to try before he buys: https://onefootball.com/en/news/why...72nd-minute-and-not-replayed-in-full-39349500
believe Roma scored in additional time after the ball was needlessly kicked out for a corner which Roma scored from Ball was kicked out by Kabasele
Just to make you even happier, they are now 3rd bottom, 3 points below the team above them, who are currently winning 2-0. It really is looking like this is the year they drop.
They're the Everton/Palace of Serie A. They always somehow seem to do enough to survive even when they're utter crap.
