For some reason, this makes me think about the time we signed Carl Fletcher on loan. I miss those days a little bit. Signing a player used to be such a novel event.
I genuinely have no idea who this is. Back in the 90s even the most obviously crap of signings was a massive excitement. They were so few and far between that we all used to persuade ourselves that they would be exciting. Even Mickey Quinn came at a time when we had been so desperate for a no. 9 that it seemed like he could glue everything together for us. Since then there are probably 5 players in our squad who I've not even heard of.
