Been told on Twitter by a BBC correspondent about reports saying he's coming over to train with the team for a few days. 17-year old Keeper, currently at Maccabi. Born in 1998(!!!).

Actually it does sound like a made up name. I had to check that it wasn't. He was less than a year old when Wright & Smart scored at Wembley!

There are reports in Israel that GK Haviv Ohayon impressed Watford officials and that they could offer contract soon.

 

Ah found it now, has apparently signed. Assume he'll be third choice and thus free up a squad place due to his age.

 

Teenage kid isn't he, just turned 18, hence why we can now sign him. He will go straight into the academy and battle with the two other very promising international keepers I would imagine. Do Israelis need work permits or due to the fact that they are part of UEFA make it easier?

 

EU/Non-EU determines whether a work permit is needed.

 

Did we get him in time so he's home grown when he's 21? (If signed before 18 would have trained for 3 years)

 

I heard he has already erected a 20 foot fence around his locker FML
