I never thought I'd see the day when the nation is consumed by a twitter feud between Wilfried Zaha and Harry the Hornet. But I always hoped.
Perhaps Big Sam is upset cause he harboured memories of missing this spot kick against the old Harry?
The FA have decided not to pursue the issue. Watford have reminded their mascot of his match day responsibilities, and to only take the p*ss out of people that can take a joke. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
That was quite possibly the worst dive I have ever witnessed & right in front of the dugout. No doubt Fat Greedy Sam missed that one.
Song for Harry, any suggestions? I'll start: - Harry, harry harry, harry harry, harry harry Hornet......(same tune as Yaya Toure song)
The massive over-reaction from Palace players, fans and officials over this incident is unfortunately illustrative of the culture at that club these days. They take themselves very, very seriously indeed. There's a marvellously furrowed-brow, keyboard bashing piece by some Kev from Surbiton that's just come up on News Now for anyone interested in a smile. The comrade's obviously devoted considerable time and effort into quite a lengthy piece of comically pompous bombast in which he slams the fluffy kids mascot as being....wait for it....pathetic. Then, justice done and the world put to rights, no doubt he's sitting down to a well-deserved egg 'n' chip supper. http://www.hltco.org/2016/12/27/vid...thetically-mocks-palace-winger-wilfried-zaha/
:happy1::happy1::happy1: Ah ha ha ha, surely it's not possible to lack self awareness that badly, surely?! This guy must be some kind of autist, it's the only explanation. Good lord, the po-facedness on display over this incident genuinely surprised me. The original reddit thread was gold, in which Crystal Palace flairs whined about how "the funniest thing was it wasn't even a dive" and that Zaha "never dives, it's just that every other team can't deal with him so foul him throughout the game", were downvoted into oblivion and flairs of literally every other club in the game replied telling them that it was a dive, and that Zaha is the biggest diver in the league. Glorious social justice. It's embarrassing to see how badly they as adult men have been fooled by Zaha's constant diving that they actually vehemently claim that he is "fouled constantly throughout the game", he's not ****ing Hazard, he's just a petulant diver
He's that sensitive that he has to moderate all comments before they're published. Not sure why it asks for an email address as it doesn't verify them - unless brownenvelopes@bigfatsam.co.uk really does exist somewhere!
Zaha is never going to live this down.He has realised what a **** he has made of himself and big Sam in his first game inchange and everyone in the football world is laughing at them it's all over the papers ,and now both have made a U turn and tryed to make a joke of it all. This has to be one of the most outrageous things to ever happen at a football match.Harry will go down as a all time legend for this.Still can't believe big Sam was suggesting the FA should look into it,this has had me laughing on and off all day.
It's not just Harry they're obsessed with, see also massively long threads on Clattenburg and Lineker. It seems everyone has it in for them!
Yep for Years they tried to Make Millwall their Darby Rival but Millwall didn't want to know they hate Chalton and West ham my best mate is a life long Millwall fan and they don't care a bit about Palace.
It is a general trend. We have seen posters on here go mad when an opposition player celebrates a goal or win over-enthusiastically. Look at the fuss made about Nyom recently. It is a pathetic extension of the common trait these days that people get offended by the slightest thing. They need to grow a pair...!
Harry is lucky to avoid a 3 game ban for it. Would have loved to have seen his Italian cousin Harzino step in. In fact if I were the club I'd have asked the fa to investigate and charge him for the PR.
Touche. I was gonna go with twitcher or some particular channel (please don't tell me you watch forsen) but thought it might be abit niche. Either way I look like a ***.
I was just about to say the exact same thing. I thought that the Nyom incidence was embarrassing, certainly by those who had mocked him all game. Fair play to him for giving it to us back. The Palace incident is even more pathetic. How sh*t does your life have to be to get that angry at a mascot doing a pretty funny dive p*sstake?
I don't think it's s***ness of life. I think it is the absurd arrogance which comes with being a Premier League footballer earning stupid amounts of money a week.
how much money does that *** get paid to get worked up by amascot. jesus wheres his ****ing chin. poor littlebaby on 30000 plus a week and the bad naughty mascot upset him. jesus get real u****
Don't worry mate, never watched Twitch in my life! I'm not much of a gamer, I don't even own a current-gen console at the moment, though I want to for FIFA. Also Assassin's Creed next year. That's literally it.
I've had a considerable dis-taste for Crystal Palace ever since the Zola season, and that's got nothing to do with the Play-off final. Okay, maybe it has a little, but it doesn't relate to the fact we lost, the penalty at the end of the game, or anything like that; it's their fans that do it for me. Crystal Palace is not a of dissimilar size to us as a club, but they seem to believe they have this air of superiority over us, and I believe this stems from their opinion that, by beating us in the play-off final, they were the 'saviours' of English football because their predominantly home-grown squad beat our foreign loanees, thus thwarting our attempts to undermine English talent and the national team. This could be easily observed by their singing of "1-0 to the countrymen" after Cabaye (who is French) scored their goal. Their ridiculous obsession with fandom is probably utilised to distract from their underperforming on the pitch. Having a gander on their forums, a few posters on a particular thread say how we're trying to form a rivalry with them and that nobody cares about us. This is on the 10+ page thread on their forum about our mascot.
And even makes David Squire's 2016 review in The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2016/dec/28/david-squires-on-football-in-2016
Apparently the mascot of some non-league team has hit out at Harry... http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...arry_the_Hornet_for_antics_after_Palace_draw/
He's quite right when he says 'it's not the sort of thing I'd have done...' because he won't get the chance to perform on a stage like the Premier League in his lifetime.
Luton Town and the people that live there need to take a good hard look at themselves its one of the biggest pooholes on the planet.
