I kid ye not! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3149095/Harry-Kewell-set-Premier-League-return-Watford-line-former-Liverpool-winger-coaching-job.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Might be good for xane and possibly the return of panos with the new academy category. Certainly be a interesting appointment
HITC say they understand he's going to accept our offer and join as U21 coach and be involved in first team too.
Yes its only a year since he retired and at 36 his best years could still be ahead of him. Might be able to tempt Lee Chapman back too ?
Great, I always wanted to post this video ... now I can!
I hear he's set up an academy in Australia, are they they only credentials he's got? I saw somewhere it spoke of his ability to work with youngsters and develop players - any basis for this?
Whatever he's done it's caught Gino's eye and it's hardly as if he will escape further scrutiny. If they want him here it's for a reason and IMO it could well have something to do with Panos Armenakas.
I would imagine hes got a bit about him, or I wouldn't think he would be here. Love the way it isnt just up and coming players that that the Pozzos bring in. They seem to have a great knowledge of staff, and coaches as well. Well lets hope!
I wonder if this part of a wider plan. Australia are pumping lots of money into youth development at present and many larger teams are looking at youth over there (there's a very good reason Man City have an Australian team), as it's the country with the 2nd largest amount of growth in recent times (afer USA). Presumably Kewell is keeping his academy open whilst he's with us. Perhaps the best graduates from that will find themselves getting into our academy.
