I'd prefer Hal 9000 Robson Kanu . Although it would be better if we had a player called Dave so that Hal could kill him .
This is frankly ridiculous! Failing just deleting this thread, can we stop talking about it and let it slip off the first page? It upsets me to see it near the top every day...
I've fallen down an existential rabbit hole - I'm not sure I'm going to be able to sufficiently answer your question.
He scored a good goal, in fact a very good goal but he's really no better than mid table Championship. Having said I wouldn't mind betting he signs for a PL club, earns a few quid and is never heard of again all based on one goal. Be utterly amazed if we signed him
HRK like the rest of the Wales team just played out of their skins vs Belgium, it was a game where just about everything went right, but I was almost certain they couldn't reproduce that form tonight, and so it proved. Much though I'm not a fan of that phrase, it happens every now and then that players and teams collectively play "above themselves" in games where confidence is sky high and they do things that normally they wouldn't be able to pull off 99 times out of 100, like with giant killers in the FA Cup, or us vs Arsenal to some extent. But there's a reason why most of that Wales team are playing for Championship-bottom half Premier League sides (one of their subs plays for relegated MK Dons, and one of their goalscorers last scored in the Conference), they can't do it consistently enough. Don't get me wrong, they showed in abundance the kind of team spirit, organization and battling qualities to put our "stars" to shame, with a sprinkling of class players for good measure, but without truly world class individuals other than Bale, there's only so far team work can take you (unless you're Leicester City or Greece, it seems!).
Every time someone in this thread posts his name as 'HRK' I read it as 'His Royal Kingness' - for that reason I'm IN!
Well our big name targets seem to be dropping like flies but at least Hal is still on the market. We might have better luck with this big name signing.
