Rod Thomas was the first (of a huge long list now) of Watford players to shatter my dreams. I went to see an England U'15 match with my football club. I looked through the programme reading which club they all belonged to, Man Utd, Everton, Liverpool, Spurs, Man Utd, Arsenal, liverpool, Spurs, Watford, Liver.....hang on what was that, Watford!! Wahoo! Ok I bet he's a sub or wont be that good. Nope, best player on the pitch. As a youngster at the time I assumed this meant he would become one of Englands greatest players. I was sad a few years later.
Yes. Looked great on the ball. Could have had a great career if it wasn't for the fact that he had to take 3 paces for every one pace taken by every other player on the pitch
He was for at least 1 season absolutely brilliant for us. Then he just went totally off the rails and ended up at Carlisle. Such a wasted talent.
I would cite Cristiano Ronaldo as someone, through extreme professionalism, has continued to improve his already extraordinary abilities & maintain supreme levels of fitness. Excellent to see Andy H is this bracket.
Christ, you lot talk some *****. I come on here for news to be greeted with cheese jokes, no wonder there's only about 30 people left on here (with at least 10 being Moog)!
Fugging idiot that I am, I clicked on this thread, thinking there might be some football news. Isn't there a set aside purile joke thread/
Andddddd that's me done. Will get my news from reddit instead. You guys just don't know when a joke is dead.
Reids and ITKJim gone in the same week. For the same reason. Suspicious. It's like Werewolf is spreading into the other forums. Make a puerile joke and the frustration wolves gobble home a laughably self-obsessed member. Who's next?
Come on Reid's. There's only so much silly crap to fill the gap until signings start to appear and the season starts again. Your input is really valuable (as opposed to a recent departee) and you'd be a big miss.
Don't worry, he'll be back. 99.9% of those that announce their departure do. Needs dose endorfins hits.
