From Sky Sports.... Free agent Gaby Mudingayi claims to have snubbed approaches from Queens Park Rangers and Watford over the summer. The 33-year-old midfielder is without a club following his release by Inter Milan and says a move to Watford could still happen. "QPR’s offer didn’t convince me. In June, I refused Watford because I was waiting on an offer in Serie A. But they are still first in line. I negotiated with Palermo but they then signed (Luca) Rigoni. Then there was India. (David) Trezeguet’s club wanted me, but I love football too much to play there now. Many people think I am injured because I didn’t play at Inter, but I recovered one year ago."
Probably old news now as we recruited other targets. But it does show the quality of has-been we are in the market for.
yeah he's a holding midfielder but he seriously lacks any pace anymore. An inter supporting mate reckons he'd struggle with the pace of the game in England.
Sounds like old news from around the time we were looking at Frimpong and other DMs. We won't be interested any more with Andrews here. We probably asked about him, he turned us down to get a better club, they didn't come, and now he's sent his agent out to try and get us to come crawling back. No ta.
Totally agree Jelly , any one that turns us down the 1st time holding out for something better should be given short shrift if they come back knocking on the door.
Yeah but one is a young, supremely talented international striker who's already bagged 20+ goals before, and the other is a random 33 year old journeyman who hasn't played since a serious injury. Most justifiable double standard ever!
And both were just trying to better their personal careers... Hell we could throw Ekstrand and Angella in there too, both reluctant to come at first, Angella even stayed in Udine for a year.
