http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/13779220.Watford_sign_Real_Madrid_youngster/ Watford have completed a deal for versatile young Real Madrid midfielder Fran Montavez. The 19-year-old, who spent seven years in the Spanish giant’s youth system, has spent several weeks on trial with the Golden Boys and has featured for the Hornets’ Under-21 side. And Montavez, who can play in midfield or behind the striker, has impressed sufficiently to earn a contract at Vicarage Road. He signed a deal with the Hornets this week after his agent, Egoitz Basurto, agreed terms with Watford. According to Spanish paper AS, Quique Sanchez Flores’ presence at Vicarage Road is believed to be a significant factor in Montavez’s decision to swap the Spanish capital for Watford.
I reckon a few more signings like this will come before we become Cat 1 academy status next season, our u21 team will then be playing the best.. It was interesting that Man City got David Faupala this summer after we nearly got him, I reckon in a few years we will have some top young talent coming through..
Knew one or more of the trinity would snap up a Real Madrid youngster given the collapse of their C team.
He is indeed, think we need to get him on some of that growth hormone that Barcelona gave to Messi. He's actually shorter than Mathieu Valbuena (the shortest decent footballer I can think of). For those of you who don't know Valbuena, here's a snap of him in action: The perspective of this photo does make him appear a little smaller than he actually is but he's still pretty damn small and our man Fran is even shorter!
Would need to drop the blade settings a notch lower on the lawn mower. Don't want him hurting himself or worse still, getting lost out there.
Usually by the time someone can sport a full beard, their growth plates are closed. Giving him HGH would not make him taller, he'd just get the freakish look that some bodybuilders do. Thick forehead & brows, gap between the front teeth etc. Essentially the bones try to grow but can't lengthen, so you get some bizarre effects.
It was a tongue in cheek comment, I don't really think we should start injecting a healthy 19 year old with human growth hormone!
...and once a month he will absolutely kick the **** out of anyone in an opposition shirt, between bouts of irrational crying.
He must be absolutely fantastic on the ball though. Can't be any other way that anyone that little can make it. He's going to have to become almost spherical to stop himself getting knocked off the ball though. Like a weeble.
Has this lad received international clearance from the Spanish FA yet? I farking hope so, as he signed ages ago.
My source at FIFA said that Blatter ran off with a bunch of player registrations as a petty act of insolence.
