I cant understand why we elected to bat, seemed stupid with all the rain around Melbourne. Also, I cant see the logic behind dropping Jones for Reed, Ok Geraint hasnt had the best series but he is so much better than Chris Reed.

the only reason he stayed in the side, is fletcher is too pigheaded to make changes.

 

the reason for dropping Jones was a valid one . He was only picked first due to his so called superior bating . Because he only averaged 10.5 runs per innings in the first 3 matches they decided to give reid a shout .Looks like he could be back for the last test tho.

IMO I would drop them both and look elsewhere , how long can you go on picking and dropping the same two hoping that it will make them play out of their skins to keep in the first 11.
