Rumours around tonight that we've asked Msn Utd to have their young left-back on loan. United to decide after their Super Cup match next week.

He's versatile I think. Played in defence at the end of last season. Listed as a defender too in Fantasy Football.

Quick and a beast. Has performed really well in pre season, so would be very surprised if they allowed him to leave.

 

He's actually covered both full-back positions at United, plus played central defence. So he's very versatile.

Would be a great addition. Very quick, and knows the league well. Even though he mainly plays as a DM or RB, according to Utd fans, his best performances have been at CB, albeit he has only played there twice in the Prem and that was last year (2016). Once against us and the other time against Arsenal. Utd won both games. I wonder if we will use him as a CB? We certainly don't need him as a RB or DM.

Says that he is manily a CDM but has played a lot at RB and CB and has played twice at LB for United, even scoring a goal from that position

So he played twice at LB for the Under 23s (out of 13 appearances), and all his 12 first team appearances were elsewhere. One way or another he isn't a left back, or at the very least not someone you'd want to rely on at LB for this level (and Utd were even less adequately stocked at LB last season than RB).

 

I made a mistake in my original post that started the thread, and I apologise. Although I wasn't totally wrong that he's been used very very occasionally as a left-back or on the left side of a back three.
