At this moment in time, if both keepers were fit, i would probably still choose lee. although his distribution isnt as accurate as fosters, it is more reliable, and he dus the simple stuff better, and i often feel safer with him between the sticks. He has also pulled off some saves not necessarily to match fosters, but top saves none the less
    wot do u think?

    No falling for me :)

Ben starts back training with us on Monday.

Liverpool may come round to quick, Arsenal is a more realistic target.

    if fit Ben plays simple.

    Foster!

I agree Lee is improving and his catching of crosses and shot stopping is very good!

His communication is still awful, his decision making at times is poor and his accuracy in his kicking is poor (although overrall distance of his kicks are alot better)

Foster in my opinion is very sound at ALL aspects of goal keeping!

Lee got lucky first half with a corner when Sibierski got in front of him and flicked it wide...he's too small and doesn't command his area well enough to be anywhere near as good as Foster!

Until Foster is fully fit, Lee is definately reliable enough to cover him. Richard Lee flaps a bit, does not command the area like Ben and his kicks are not so good; however his reflexes are good, and he is definately competant enough to be our second keeper.

Ben, however is a better overall keeper. There is no aspect of his keeping attributes that arent decent, his kicking is good(most times) and he is a much better keeper.

So until Foster is fully fit, and raring to go, Richard Lee is good cover, but when Bens at full fitness, hes better than Lee.
So Foster should be playing once hes fit.

4 clean sheets in 9 outings? great record.. Lee should start but i think that the fact that Ben is a loanee from manure and that we will want to keep them sweet that Ben will get straight back into the starting line up

No doubt Sir Alex will demand Foster does play which is fair enough but its pleasing to see Lee come in and look a lot more assured since returning.

I'm pleased for old ****y Lee but I have to say his communication and command of area are noticeably lacking! These are attributes which I would hope will come with regular first team football. Unfortunately we dont have the time for him to learn and so when Foster returns I would expect him to come straight back into the team, with Lee a very competent second choice!

I think Foster is the better keeper but i am very happy with Lee at the moment.

It has certainly solved one problem as i really thought we would have to sign a new keeper next sesson. i am happy with Lee in goal until Foster is full on 100% fit. Then i would have Foster ,but only on the account if Lee was to make a mistake, if he doesn't cost us a goal for the rest of the season i will be happy. He can not be dropped now as he has done nothing wrong.

Debate over. If we wanna keep Foster he has to play.
