    According to someone on GH......

We have been looking at this player with the view to a loan move for a season.

Not sure what to make of him, but has played for Universidad de Chile, and has represented Chile at U20 level.

Plays Left sided Midfield / Forward.

    FYI: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPWCxlu-QEo

would be a class act to have on the left

I'd rather we didn't have Alexis Sanchez style players at Watford, thanks.

Get him now - he looks a class act, just slightly better than Forsyth me thinks!!

Agreed, no chance, unless he can produce a Spanish grandparent?

    It's not cyan, it's a Chilean winger.

I think most Chileans have a fairly easy route to a Spanish passport.

Maybe to Udinese, not to Watford. If he signs here I will eat a tin of my own ****. No chance.

If we signed him then we are moving to a different level. Looks quality. Will be surprised if he isn't playing in the top league of Spain or Italy to be honest

He reminds me of Messi in his style of play, though obviously not as good.

He is very very good, and plays for one of the most exciting teams on the planet who have admirers across the world.

If we are seriously interested in him then that is more than a show of ambition from the new regime. If we signed him I would expect promotion this season with signings of similar calibre coming soon after.

Like I said, I think wires have been crossed and Udinese is the destination.

My god.....was it really only 12 months ago we were signing Yeates and Forsyth, now we are being seriously linked to this guy? Football is such a bizzare world, full of the unexpected.

I can't wait for next season to start.

This has to be the most exciting time to be a WFC fan since the Elton / Taylor days.

I'm not sure this player is what we need for our squad. He strikes a ball as sweetly as Forsyth, seems to have pace of Wichelow and his crosses ended up going straight to the defenders or not giving the attackers an easy strike on goal.

There's also clearly something wrong with his heart as he keeps thumping it after he scores a goal or goes on a long run. We used to have a player called Anthony McNamee who had to do that - I'm sure he's available from somewhere.

  28. Arakel

That's not necessarily true, TheDon; he's an under 21 international with 7 caps and 3 goals. He might get one on the basis of being a special talent who is, quote, "able to contribute significantly to the development of the game at the top level in the UK." It's not completely impossible to get one for a young non-EU player who isn't a full international.

I don't know how literally that rule is applied but we're not at the top level.

There is not a chance in hell that a multi milionaire Italian with a record of being successfull at football clubs will buy Watford FC. Oh hang on a minute.....;)

The defending in that video is beyond atrocious. The number of times that the RB just goes missing or dives in far too easily

Don't be ridiculous, Lloyd never dives in, he just shadows them until they put the cross in.

Yeah, that part is a bit vague; it doesn't specify whether or not it means immediately or in the future. It seems more appropriate to look at the future of the player rather than the current tier of the club trying to sign him; I suspect it's likely to be highly subjective. It seems silly to me that English football could miss out on the next Messi simply because the wrong club tried to sign him at an early age.
