First time poster here guys - and I'm starting with something that will probably get laughed/trolled at unanimously. I digress... I just wonder though, in the anticipation that Iggy will be off in the summer to the highest bidder, and in further anticipation of a high to mid-table finish this season, Amrabat might not be the ready made replacement if we are honest. With the obvious Atletico ties with QSF and Suarez, and plenty of Spanish influence in the halls of Vicarage Road and London Colney, would you take a punt on Falcao if a reasonable deal could be made financially? There are HUGE questions on his fitness but he may just welcome the opportunity to kick-start his career in welcoming surroundings. I've seen a pic on Suarez's Instagram of him and Falcao at his birthday recently so they obviously still connect! Saying all this, his knee is probably as tangled up as Adam Johnsons morals and he'll likely wind up in China hitting Shanghai's hotspots alongside Jackson Martinez but just a thought...
Welcome to the forum. Wages Will he be effective on a Tuesday night at Stoke If he isn't good enough to get in a team below us in the league, why would he get in ours He will end up in China.
Lol do you really think we could pay his wages? And do you really think he would want to play at Watford? And do you really think we would want him given that he has already flopped at two PL clubs?
Its not the worst suggestion in the world QSF's ex players seem to love him and he could re-find form in a less pressure environment. Wages would need to be drastically reduced though
Unfortunately seems a shadow of the player he was. Far better value for money out there as his wages would be crazy.
Even I doubt the possibility of it being something that would ever happen. I don't think we could pay his wages. But neither do I think that Chelsea are paying his full wages either. In a similar way to the defunct Adebayor deal, a percentage of his wage might be agreeable, and whilst this might still be beyond our ability, it's already been stated that with TV money, we'll be fishing in a different pond next season. He may not want to play at Watford. But I'd have said much the same about Suarez 6 months ago. But I agree, it's 99.9% certain he'll be on £400k a week walking out to Kung-Fu Fighting come next year rather than on £60k whistling along to Z-Cars.
Great goal against Italy - worth a punt f he's still got the legs at 62. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClAYQ1a0SJ0
Good for us in the Mid-Eighties but then it got all a bit 'Rock me Amadeus'. Possibly legs have gawn by now.
When I saw this thread in the 'Last Post' section on the main page, I assumed it was TVOR's suggestion. That may not mean much to someone new to the forum, like Burnsy, but it says a lot about how likely I think this is.
Imagine Falcao playing for Watford. I wouldn't even care if he was on £150k a week, played four games and was utter s**t. It would be Falcao at Watford.
To be fair, I never said he did. Just that they are both linked via Atletico/Suarez in very recent history so its likely he and QSF may have crossed paths thats all.
I'd say yes if a deal could be struck, like previously said even if he was sh!t, it would still be Falcao at Watford. A big name signing like Falcao, Balotelli or Ashley Young could attract others. I think Falcao will end up in the MLS
