Fabbrini getting a decent run of games and being played in a suitable position and Millwall fans bloody love him. Heading towards another MOTM award tonight.

    Whodda thunk it?

63 minutes in his first match and it's now half time in his second. Not sure that qualifies as a 'decent run of games'...

That's great. How many goals has he scored for them so far?

Wait. The opinion of a Millwall fan means something now?

  5. WatfordTalk

True, but how many times did he start 2 in a row for us?

I always judge a player on how many goals they score.

  7. WatfordTalk

The same amount that Anya has scored for us all season. What's your point?

You must ****ing hate Doyley then. Shunnnnnnnnnnnnn the unbeliever!

Not as much as I hate Gomes. Watford career goals = 0. I mean wtf??

Oh, and it's finished 0-0. Shocking.

Fabbrini lasted until the 77th minute tonight - albeit I imagine he's well short of match fitness.

From the text commentary every time Fabs touched the ball he won a free kick. Taken off after 77 minutes but as Millwall were down to ten for the whole second half it's understandable they'd try and protect the point. They did but then again it was only against Reading.

I have absolutely no idea what this post is supposed to prove. Please explain.

After tonight, Fabbrini joins Assombalonga on the pedestal IMO

He means every time Millwall don't win it proves that Fabbrini is sh!t. I think. I don't really know.

That Fabbrini's performances looks good but have no end product so have little affect on the outcome of a game.

When he starts turning his step-overs and endless dribbling into goals and assists, I'll rethink my opinion of him.

So you expect bottom of the form table Millwall, who were down to ten men for 45 minutes, to win? Otherwise Fabbrini is ****?

He won about 50 free-kicks in dangerous areas by the sounds of it. All potential assists. Surely you don't believe that a player can only impact a game if they get an assist/goal? Surely? All the games where Abdi has run the show but didn't have a goal or an assist next to his name count for **** all I assume.

Not at all, I'm saying that labelling someone as a great player is premature when they've done nothing more for their new club than they did for us. Whilst Abdi may not score or assist every game, he has a track record of performing well and has demonstrated that he can add to the game without being directly involved in the goals. Fabbrini hasn't, yet.

I actually happen to think that Fabbrini could become a very good player for us. I just don't understand how two games where he has played well, but directly added little, can lead to you criticising anyone for unfairly judging him. What you're doing is as illogical as saying a player is a dodgy signing after they have a bad debut, yet you're always happy to remind us about those posts.

    I haven't said he's a great player and I also haven't criticised anyone.

You seem to have clearly suggested that Fabbrini is a player worth keeping in the squad at this stage, contrary to the many posts on the thread which disagree.

Otherwise, perhaps I and others may have misinterpreted your original post as being riddled with sarcasm. My sincere apologies.

Apology accepted. Not sure why a positive comment on a good performance by a Watford-owned player resulted in such a backlash but fair enough.

Quoted post was edited before I saw your reply, but I think we can both agree that this would be a good place to finish!

He's a forward. So that may be the point.

Mind you, Millwall Twitter said he came off to a standing ovation and one news report said 'Fabbrini was outstanding just like he was on his debut against Ipswich' so all looks good at the moment, lets hope he keeps it up.

Hasn't he played on the wing for Millwall, a slightly more advanced role than Anya? And hasn't Anya played about 20 games more this season than Fabbrini has for Millwall?

Early signs are good for him. Glad we've got him on a long contract.

16 league starts and 4 assists I believe which is decent and he's been improving the past few games. Genuinely believe Gordon Strachan's comments set him back.

Wishing Fabbrini the best of luck, still believe he'd be better suited to the Prem. Happy his loan was to another Championship club, something that should've been done for Battochio who is not learning anything about English football at Virtus Bonjella

They're not sheep you can just move from ranch to ranch ... He did his stint here but has been pushed out of the team with little chance of returning to it, at least let him go play where it's warm.

Batty's already done his international traveller bit, Uchi's been as far as Crewe. H'd surely love such a move?

Awarded man of the match again in his second match. 2 out of 2

Fabbrini has just been voted 'Best Millwall player of all time'.

He's clearly another mistake like losing Jamie Moralee.

The one thing he has always been good at is falling over. If Millwall can use him to win free kicks, as a sort of specialist who can only do one thing but does it very well (like the American footballers brought on just to take a kick), he could be a success there.

  32. Nnnn

No, I'm not having that. He's also very good at giving the ball away leading to oppsition counter attacks. That's 2 things. Credit where it's due please.

Looks like he's headed towards a 3rd MOTM in a row. Millwall fans can't believe he's playing for them and are offering organs to see him back there next season. One said the permanent signing of Fabbrini would make him buy a season ticket for next year.

Makes you realise how lucky we are with the squad we've got. Such talent in there.

I know your opinion of him is very high and you're determined with this... but he's playing in a Millwall team that has no creativity, it wouldn't be hard to look good in that side for any half decent player. He looked good for us, but never actually did anything. I like to call players like this the 'Townsend' players. Andros Townsend a perfect example - looks good but rarely actually contributes assists or goals.

Unless he finds an end product he'll never make it here.
