Do you go into every game expecting us to win? Yesterday I was asked by a Liverpool fan, whether I thought we’d win, and I said no, but I thought we could get a draw. He then accused me of not supporting my team because he said he 'expects' Liverpool to win every game! I explained to him that if we had the resources of Liverpool then I might expect to beat anyone, but as a Watford fan constant disappointment has made me reluctant to expect victories all the time, but I told him I always think we have a chance to get something. So what do you think, should we 'expect' to win every game?
A supporter wants his team to win but doesn't necessarily expect them to win. Your scouse mate needs to work out the difference ;D
i'd say he's an idiotic liverpool fan who doesn't understand the differences between hope and expectation.
Any man u, liverpool, arsenal, chelski fan would expect to win every game, but also naccept that there are hard games. We on the other hand, in this league can oly hope for a good performance that may bring us some kind of result. However, next season i will consider every fizzy pop game as winnable, although i do not expect to win every game, i wholeheartedly believe we will be in the top 3 all season.
See I agree with you all so far. I was surprised at the way he attacked me because he isn’t a glory hunting Liverpool fan - goes regularly, actually come from Liverpool and supports them because his family has always done so. He’s also been one of the few people to defend us, so I can only imagine he said what he did because it was Everton and wanted to see them lose!
