And that has clearly been the situation all along; we’re desperate for money & reducing the wage bill, but actually it’s all a dastardly plan by GP to totally undermine his own investment...
Could be wrong but believe the German transfer window is closed now so looks like just Valencia as a foreign option for Capoue. Wouldn't be surprised with a couple of PL bids in the next couple of weeks if he doesn't leave today though
I was hoping Deeney, Dawson and Welbeck to those two. Caps going that way would make me sad however. He's not deserving of two successive relegations.
All the players that have left us this summer and the only one who actually hands in a transfer request stays. If you're reading this etienne: LOL.
AL: ‘Two hours have passed since I last said he might stay but could still go...better send another tweet out saying it’s more likely he’ll stay now but might still leave. That’ll cover all bases. Read all about it at @TheAthletic.’
Even if he doesn't go to Valencia, Ponzo will crack and loan him to someone like Palace or Fulham on deadline day
Could still go to Portugal. There window does not close until 25 October. Could even see a Premier League club going for him. West Brom maybe.
Should he stay or should he go now If he doesn't we're in trouble Coz our stupid wages double So come on let us know Should he stay or should he go
His tweets are getting quite funny now, tweeting that ''My source says that Capoue to Valancia is unlikely'' 2 hours before the deadline.
I’d be pretty surprised if Capoue agitated for a move to a middling or lower PL club. The threat of relegation would still loom and he could have the added upheaval of moving house/family etc and they’ve been in London for a number of years. A top PL club won’t be coming for him and everything else constitutes a risk or upheaval with little payoff. I personally suspect for Capoue, it was always about getting a move abroad and sampling something different as his career comes to a close. I’m pretty confident he stays now.
Hopefully he and the club can get things sorted now and introduce him back into the squad. Desperately needed if Caps is focused and ready for the scrap.
I applauded the club for finally being transparent when they broke the Capoue/Pereyra story. I now wonder if they were too hasty!
Some sports emanating from spain that its still on.....loan move with no option to buy and 50% of wages. Discussions continue with the pozzos but Gracia wants his man and they are a massive club after all. Sorry couldnt resist.
Club can't win. Don't post everything that's going on as it's unfolding = The club never communicates! Post what's happening before everything is solid = Why are you so hasty?
