Just a question about editing posts.. On occasions when ive wanted to edit posts ive noted that you have a certain time limit to edit before the 'last edited by' message shows up in the post. So my question is.. what are the time limits for this and is it possible to not have that message after the said time limit? On the same theme i have noted that after a certain time editing isnt possible at all.. what is the time limit for that?
OK, here are the settings for you... 10 minutes before the "edited by" shows 15 minutes to edit the thread title Posts can't be edited at all after 2 days 15 minutes to add a poll The "edited by" message is important, it prevents smart a**es from editing a post to make others look stupid. It needs to stay.
Thanks again.. Thought there would be a reason for the 'edited by' time limit and so there is.. but its ruined my idea of going back in this thread and adding "if Admin doesnt answer this question within 10 minutes he's a complete numpty" :naughty:
