For all those people that want Dyche to be sacked have you thoguht about who you would want him to be replaced by? I couldnt really see us getting anyone in that could do amazingly better than Dyche. To make it clear im not calling for him to be sacked just wondering who you'd prefer to be in charge of us?

I think their are plenty of people that would be interested in the job, when Dyche was given the job, he was given so ahead of a number of much higher profile, and far more experienced managers. Out of what's financially viable, I think their are plenty of talented managers in the lower leagues. Keith Hill is doing a marvellous job at Barnsley, and Saunders equally seems to be improving Doncaster's fortunes. Mcinnes from St Johnstone would be an excellent choice, sadly, Dyche isn't going anywhere.

One of the reason's MM left was due to the restrictions placed on him with finances, cost cutting, selling players,So how was he suppose to build a team to challenge for promotion.Dyche has the same problems,a thin bear squad, and a squad that will battle relegation, which is not his fault,No point in sacking him,we will still have the same players, and the same financial restrictions and just loans to play with.No matter who comes in he will have a near on impossible job but save us from the dreaded drop.

two of those managers have only been in post for a very short period. Barnsley are only two points ahead of us and Donny are below us in the table. On which basis if you think they are doing a good job having the points total they have and being where they are in the league then you are also stating that so is SD, which means your last statement counteracts everything else you've written.

VoR - When Aidy came in he had just picked up on a squad that hadn't been invested in in years and yet managed to be successful, so it can be done.

We should do what Leicester did and get someone like Erikson or now his free McClarean, remortgage the ground and invest heavily in overseas ex internationals like Paul Okon and blitz our way to the promise land

Quite..yes they've started ok but not exactly ripping up the league.

Not so long ago Barnsley fans wanted Hill out because they started slowly! (Probably be the same on here if a new manager didn't win his first 2 games..)

If Doncaster maintain their short term form then fine but I am sure their fans aren't getting too excited yet (TBH they were only losing games because they had about 10 players injured..if we had that we'd fail to field a team I think!)

Not that many people were complaining when Dyche was appointed...you only have to look at him to see what sort of football style we were going to get and ofcourse the new signings have been average but again there was the demand for new players ahead of giving young players a chance.

I would have gone for quality over quanity.

Still think that we will have a dangerous team once the manager and players become comfortable in their new roles/ club. Forsyth has potential, ****o looks quality, Hogg is a good player who works hard, Garner seems useful and Yates has shown flickers of what he can do.

Give the team time, it'll come

The last-6-games form guide in the paper today reads....

    Watford W2 D2 L2

That is the very definition of the word AVERAGE, which for us in our current financial situation is exactly what we need. Why on earth would we be think of getting rid of our manager?

    This.

Has been my point for weeks, what can we realistically expect! Does anyone want to go back to Vialli days where we pump money in and get no reward? We still have debt and a 3-sided ground. Progress takes time.

Err no thanks, expensive and after his spell at Forest seems like he is out of touch with English League Football.

Was my personal choice when MM went in the summer. Talented young manager but will be interesting to see if he has success in England (if he goes to Bristol City)

It would have been a better choice than Dyche at the time I feel, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I Hope you arent serious. Sometimes sarcasm is difficult to read, many on here have divergent ways of thinking

The point to sacking him would be if he wasnt very good as a manager.

And in reposnse to another thread. Plenty here thought he was a bad choice when he was brouhgt in ( I thought it was a good choice)

Where did people honestly expect us to be at this point of the season?

Personally I expected us to be lower than we currently are. Get a grip.

It's not our league position I have a problem with, and I like Dyche very much as a person, it's just his footballing ethos is far from enjoyable.

I do wonder what people's ambitions are.

We have lost our top-scorer from last season & just about everything else has been thrown up in the air with a change of manager, staff and personnel. These things all take time to get right & although Dyche has a few flaws what manager doesn't? He is learning all the time & to sack someone for 'not learning quick enough' in essence is very poor management as you shouldn't have appointed that person in the first place.

As long as we stay up I'll be satisfied, if we're bottom by a large number of points in January then a change might be required but right now we're just missing a few percent in terms of performance.

I agree, and as long as we stay up, I'm happy. But at the same time as being realistic, it's not ridiculous to say that if we had been just a little more ambitious we'd be a lot higher in the league right now - we've brought in more players that we have done for as far I can remember. I can't help but feel we should have gone for quality rather than quantity, and allowed the youngsters to provide the depth to the squad. I was happy when Dyche was given chance, and he really is a fantastic guy, I just can't help but feel the **** we're watching isn't going to get any better, and we have no ambition to ever change it.

I'm not addressing the original poster. I am addressing the people on this thread that have suggested inferior replacements and the couple of people on here that have been suggesting that Dyche should be sacked over the last week or so.

Fantastic post have said something similar on another thread. Managing the youngsters properly is like signing 1 or 2 players every year because we always bring through another gem (which is great credit to the club and wouldn't want it any other way ie what Qpr have done to get to the prem). If we had then only added Hogg, ****o, yeates and maybe garner from what i have seen we could have gone for some real quality loans. I think in recent seasons the youngsters have benefited in the main from playing the right way and dyche must change his philosphy as i don't think we will develop our players with our current style of play. This frustrates more than anything.

I shared an e-mail or two with Aidy last week, and he is keen to get back in the dugout. However I feel that we had the best out of Aidy, and he will never repeat what he achieved at the Vic.

The guy needs time, not 10 games,he has inherited a squad of players they he may not think a great deal of,but what can he do,he has no money,he has to work with what was left behind.

I'm all for giving Dyche time. I have been to the Birmingham and Saints games and watched the Forest game on the box. On none of these occasions have I been convinced or impressed by what he's trying to do. The fact we've got no pace, creativity or guile in midfield is very alarming and obvious! It's too hit and hope to the likes of Sordell and Garner and they're not receiving enough quality service to create chances. I've been impressed by how tight we've been at the back (except the the West Ham game and second half on Saturday at Southampton), but the players in front of the back four aren't good enough to win games! Yeates on his day is good, but is too inconsistent, Hogg is too similar to Eustace and Forsyth is absolutely f**king sh*t. Garner and Sordell are good on their day, but aren't getting good service at all.

IMO, Dyche needs to urge the players to get the ball down more and get the ball into Sordell and Garner's feet, rather than getting them chasing hopeless balls into the channels! Forsyth and Yeates need replacing with two wingers that can attack the full-back and put a good ball into the box. Teams can push right up on us because we have no pace down the wings to hurt sides (unlike Buckley last season). Also I think Eustace needs dropping and we need a more creative central midfielder in the side. Someone that's going to link midfield to attack like Springy use to whilst Hogg sits! Bauben could be that player, but from what i've heard he sounds more like Hogg/Eustace. A Jason Koumas midfield type player would be ideal.

We're not a million miles away, but Dyche needs to get this stupid habit of launching the ball aimlessly and giving away possession to the opposition like we did on Saturday! You can't do that to sides like Saints because they'll punish you.

Get a left winger in on loan and a creative midfielder, get the ball down and play and we will do far better!

this is how i see it , if we go down , ill be getting a season ticket , or at least putting that £400 into a kitty to get to a few away games.....if we stay up , ill be doing what i do now , which is about a game or two a year
