Think you mean the other way around. Long-term Pozzo target. Can play both fullback roles, good technically, EPL experience, not injury prone as far as I know, at 5 million not too expensive, still only 26, rated by Mourinio - what is not to like? COYHS!

Didn't want to join us before, hasn't played regularly in 3 seasons, plus he's just not very good.

 

Either that or the club do genuinely rate him & keep trying to sign him, so far without luck

 

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but for me personally I don't want him here. He isn't good enough for us now if we are trying to push on. He's played 29 games in three seasons for Inter. So he will be severely lacking match fitness. Not only that he has turned us down at least twice in the last 4 transfer windows, if not three times.

If Mourinho really rated him that highly, he would be at Man Utd. Let's be honest it's not as though Man Utd have great FB's. Valencia (probably there best FB), Darmian, Shaw (Mourinho wants him out), Blind who has played 15 times for them at LB and Ashley young who has played RB for them. If someone who Mourinho rated so highly can't push any of those players out in his natural position (LB) then he can't rate him that highly. His competition is Shaw and Blind, not exactly the most prolific LB's in the world.

If we sign him I will support him but he definitely wouldn't be my first choice FB I would want here.

 

Nah **** him, like others have already said, he turned us down previously, we are now in a better market (plus Janmaat is better anyway).

Valencia has been great for them at RB this season. Their left backs could be better though, sure.
