He's listed as having Patrick Bastianelli as his agent, an agent Watford have 'officially' only used once before (since 2015). That was the transfer of Odion Ighalo to Changchun Yatai where the club used 4 agents - Oladele Oladipo Salami, Patrick Bastianelli, Atta Aneke & Malzum Ali Bilecan.

Strangely, Ighalo has zero agents listed as representing him on that transfer so it's probable at least one of those, Oladele Oladipo Salami, was his intermediary as he was Ighalo's agent in previous deals with Watford.

He seems decent and as if he can play in all 3 forward positions. A good striker of the ball with both feet.

He was Cremonense's second top scorer last season in Serie A with 7 goals in 2277 minutes. You can see some of them in the vid below (he's number 77).

He was linked with Burnley and Besiktas in the summer, but it seems they received no bids near enough to their valuation for him.

A bit concerning is that it seems he downed tools a bit once they were relegated and he's not been used by them much this season so far. If he's not been that motivated to play in Serie B, will he get excited enough about the Championship? That aside, he seems as if he'd be useful for us in case it happens.

Ighalo was one of WFC’s greatest successes. Won us promotion, set the Premier League alight for half a season, ensuring we stayed up and then politely departed for a gazzilion pounds.
