I and i guess alot of other would not agree. yes we have alot of forwards but kabba is rubbish and if hoskins is not as good as sharpe and he is of to wednesday then we need a re think.
Boothroyd did say he was after a striker I personally want him to try and convince Claus Jensen that we are no longer going to play hoof ball and that he and rinaldi together could revolutionize the new free flowing watford!

it's still early days, agents players, managers, chairmen have all been on holiday Aidy did say that he wanted to sign players that would be able to step up to the premiership with us. Sharp, Eastwood, Cureton and McCloud are unproven or largely unproven at championship level so are unlikely to step up. In Curetons case he has done well but is 31 so unlikely to step up at 32. I believe there will be a striker and i also believe that with all the money knocking about the premiership at the moment it will be a player being moved out becasue of a import to a larger club. I'm not suggesting we buy them but a fringe player like Vassel or Amiobi. More than 6 weeks to go, still plenty of time
Everyone's been in a mexican stand-off waiting to see what the other clubs are going to do, going to pay. Now some bench mark prices have been set, things will happen. I'd rather not buy anymore second rate hopefuls, we did enough of that in January and past seasons. Hoskins was going to be marvellous. Wasn't. Remember the fuss about Sam Parkin a while back? Much more pleased to get Hendo and Marlon than him. I'm more interested in seeing teams like Fulham getting in new players, so as to see they'll then offload. Like HH. I trust Aidy to have learned lessons from past windows in making shrewder purchases.
Got to agree, should only sign someone if they significantly improve the squad(eg earnshaw), otherwise we are better off as we stand
