Pleased for Andrews. Looked very assured at right back against Reading, and should have been involved more. Hamer over Roberts is absolutely pointless, but expected.
He will at least try. I will take that even if he makes 5 errors that lead to goals. Just 100% effort is an improvement.
I suspect the former, a 3 day turnaround is not unusual in the Championship, so I'm not sure if it warrants 6 changes, but if that is the case, why not go for Adeyemo again instead of Britt?
Son of Wayne (if you go back a little while) which I see you do! His Dad also played for Coventry so a nice thoughtful touch from our Manager.
No matter how bad we've been recently I'm always full of new hope before the start of the next match, as if every match will be the line in the sand from previous horror shows. I am praying Hamer has the game of his life and keeps Bachmann out the team for the rest of the season.
Considering most people on here have been calling for our youth players to be given more minutes - especially with the season pretty much done - I don't see anything wrong with this. Ferreira and Ngakia haven't been great lately, so maybe Andrews will show something to suggest he could take one of their spots next season as back-up for the role. Honestly, posters on here will find a way to moan at anything. It's very odd though that neither Ngakia and Ferreira are even in the squad.
There are certainly enough question marks about all of our RBs this season, I welcome Andrews being given a go, the bit I question is Bacuna and Assombalonga being picked
Okoye not even on the bench? Wtf? How does our ownership justify such bent transfers? Some just don't come off, but the likes of Kalu, Okoye, Bayo etc just don't have any rational explanation beyond something dodgy and nothing to do wiry wfc's interests being served. Pozzo out.
Assombalonga looked lively off the bench in the last game and it's worth seeing if it'll be worthwhile keeping him here next season (hopefully for the 3rd choice CF role, mind). Bacuna doesn't make much sense, I agree, but our other CMs might need a rest and we don't really have any academy players ready to start instead - Grieves is definitely not up to starting a Championship game against fairly tough opposition for instance.
Is he actually? I would've seen Wayne bouncing that little lad in his arms at Wembley Market regularly. Good luck to him.
Bit harsh on Asprilla. I also natively thought Araùjo would be our saviour so no idea what's been going on there. Not that it matters. Nothing really matters, any way the wind blows etc.
Its obviously got something to do with finances. Yet again we waste a young players talent because we can’t afford to play because of some agreement we have with benfica. You can add benfica to the list of clubs that won’t do business with us moving forward.
Started out as a ventriloquist's dummy on the radio before hosting This is Your Life and playing Maria in The Sound Of Music.
