Good to see Michael Bryan make his debut, I would like to have seen him playing out wide though if he is actually playing through the middle. I'd like to have seen Liam Henderson start as well. Hopefully quite a few of the youngsters on the bench will come on and get a good amount of playing time.

Henderson has never looked like scoring when he has been brought on. At least Sordell has managed that.

hes only ever brought on with 20 minutes to go and given the job of winning freekicks/chasing lost causes

hes earnt the right to start, Malky should have started him today, you cant properly judge a player until hes started 3 or 4 games

Interesting to see the team selection, at the end of the day the result does not matter!

This fixture has a habit of producing goals. In fact, there has been a minimum of three in each of the last eight meetings. By the way, Watford have won five of the last six between the two clubs.

    COYH!

I would have to say that this is the only day where it really would not of matter if we had started him, just to prove how we would not score! :dismay:

Good to see the lads still wanting to put in the effort despite being safe.

Should be proud of the last two victories, very proud.

Fantastic win to end the season with our first away win since October. It sounded like we played well, passed the ball pretty well and it sounded as though we were a bit more clinical in front of goal.

It's great for Danny Graham to get another two goals and finish the season with 14 goals which is a decent return for a player in his first season at this level. All season he has always put in a huge amount of effort and usually played well and despite that dip in form, he has had a good season topping the goalscoring charts and the assists chart.

It's also good to see Marvin Sordell grab his first league goal for us, hopefully next season he can push on and prove himself consistently. It sounded like Lansbury scored a great goal in his final game for us (hopefully not).

Next season will be tough unless we get a reasonably wealthy investor (unlikely) and once again it will be a team with freebies, youngsters and loanees but regardless of all this, I am still really looking forward to the 10/11 campaign.

And that, my friends, is why we support Watford.

All that angst for the second half of the season, and we pull out those two results to finish the season. :)

Great result for the team, the pressure was off and we played some really nice stuff, good to see another excellent goal, and as Nak said, even though we may end up relying on loanees, some of our own players and some free transfers, it makes for an exciting season!

fantastic result for us. did not want to start next season without an away win for about 10 months, so a win today was very important.

    onwards and upwards.

Its often the same in football.. when the pressure is off, the game is that much simpler.
Perhaps the last 2 performances have been a better reflection of where we are at.. lets hope so.

PS i'd just like to thank WBA's Graham Dorrans, who's injury time goal against Barnsley meant we climbed another place in the table.

That show what we are capable of & how much the pressure has been getting to the young squad that we have had this year.

With a season like that under their belts the likes of Hodson, Bennett, Sordell & even Henderson will be far more consistant bext year,

If we can hold onto Loach, find a striker with pace to play off DG & replace the creativity of Cleverly & Lansbury we might have a mid table finish !!

Had a brilliant day today... the match, the singing the wild celebrations of the players when we scored the 4th, Loach coming down to celebrate as well.... and Harry being his normal clownish self arond the stand. And well done to the fancy dress brigade..

BananaMan, Batman, Robin, Superman, Thunderbirds, and a whole posse of cowboys, including a horse, brilliant atmosphere!
