Im not gonna knock last night's effort, people need to realize that most of the players had some sort of illness, the back 4 were chopped and changed about, and even though we had the youngest side out that Ive ever seen we still pushed them at the end,and if for not 2 great saves we could have snatched a draw.

Obviously we are gonna get the fickle ones always moaning no matter what we do,but I was proud of the effort and commitment we gave for such a young and mostly inexperienced side.

LOL, of course it was f**king easy, there wasn't 3 in the way, 2 at most, one being a defender and the other the keeper, both were practically on the ar*ses before he pulled the trigger anyway.

Fair point but I wouldn't pin hopes on DeMerit being back too soon by the sounds of things...

People say play Harley at left back? Would the lack of pace be a worry.

If only we'd signed the right left back eh (if these Travner rumours are true..)

Typical though isn't it we get these injuries when running into a set of games that are tough enough with a fully fit sqaud and the best youngster even gets injured (Hodson was often the best for the Youths with Eddie O 2nd and probaby somebody like Billy Gibson before the long term injury picked up)

Dale B did perform well against Barnsley but they hardly tested us for long periods whereas Coventry did with 2 decent Championship strikers up front and his inexperience showed.

Trouble is even in the Under 18s you can see against some sides our lads albeit skillful are very physicall weak.

I didn't say he shouldn't have scored. because he should have at least got it on target but the chance just wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.

things we all kn ow about football

1 - you don't take your chances you lose
    2 - you don't defend propely - you lose
3 - if a keeper makes an error it tens to lead to a goal
4 - a group of 7 teenagers are never going to stand toe to toe with an established physical outfit with out something giving

The 2nd half was men against boy. As soon as Hodgson went off it went down hill. Harley worked hard but thats all, Eustace ahd a decent game, Cleverley again worked hard and took his goal well.

Hoskins, fair play to him, took his goal well even with a defelction and should have made more of other chances. No one can doubt his workrate but his lack of quality lets him down.

Only our 2nd loss, not the end of the world.

Good effort from the "kids" but we still seem to conceed far too many goals from set pieces and corners whoever is playing. This is a problem we had under boothroyd too. A solid defender like Williamson has to be no.1 priority in Jan.

Where was our 'keeper's error which lead to a goal?

Just seen the Sky Sports highlights. And the Liam Henderson miss, from where I was sitting I thought he missed a very clearly easy open goal tap-in. I've just seen it was basically an open goal, was harder to score than I thought but he should of poked that in nicely to save us a point. Ah well, I prefer Sordell over Henderson anyway. Roll on Saturday, very much doubt we will win that one.

I didn't look as bad now i have seen it again. At the time it looked like he caught and dropped a simple header. As it is he managed to flap at it , get his hands on it, but neiterh catch or punch it.

Why didn't Cowie tuck that chance away ? no need to pass, I didn't realise how bad a miss Hoskins effort was from 3 yards, and how did Henderson miss the target after such good work

If you're talking about their equaliser I'd not call that a flap really. He's never going to catch it under pressure there so you can call it a failed punch at worst. To me though he's saving a header rather than trying to clear a cross hence the parry.
