Jobi McAnuff and Jack Cork have both admitted they are not sure where they will be playing their football next season.

McAnuff has been outstanding since January after he rejected a loan move to Charlton Athletic and Cork has become a fans favourite since signing on loan from Chelsea at the beginning of the year.

Rodgers is keen to keep both of the players if possible but it may be difficult as the club try and balance the books.

When asked about his future, McAnuff, who is one of the club's highest earners, said: “The only thing I have heard, I have had a chat with the gaffer, and he says he wants me to stick around next year. Whether that is going to be possible or not will depend on finances and whatnot.

“We are all realistic to the situation and we have just got to see what happens.

“I am more than happy, I have stated that before. I am really enjoying working under the manager and I really hope to be here next year but you never know with football.”

Cork has another year left on his contract at Chelsea but the 19-year-old says he doesn’t know where his future lies due to the constant managerial changes at Stamford Bridge.

The England Under-21 international said his ideal scenario would be earning a place in the Blues squad but when asked whether he would welcome a return to Vicarage Road, he said: “Yes, maybe.

“I have really enjoyed the months I have spent here and we have managed to put some good results together. Obviously working with Brendan is really good because I know him really well and I know what he expects from players.

“I think the team next year will do very well because of Brendan and the work ethic of the players here and I think it would be a good place to be next year as they will be pushing for the top.”

I know I've lopped off most of what he actually said, namely the positive stuff he talks of being at Watford, but that didn't read to me like a bloke who actually seems raring to come back. Sounds like a few options he wants to weigh up first of all and he'll come back here if the preferred options don't work out for him.

As for Jobi, I reckon he's on the look-out for someone to pay him a fair whack but if he doesn't get it then he'll be oh so very happy to stay here. If that's the case, I don't begrudge him for it. Just a case of getting someone in that can play consistently well over the majority of a season. This summer is going to be interesting with the ins and outs for sure!

Chelsea have already stated they want Cork out on loan with a prem club next season so I doubt you will see Corky playing in the CCC,but Rogers may have an influence on that.

In reference to Jodi he wants to stay and is enjoying his footy under Rogers,he has said before the situation is out of his hands, what more can Jodi say,and the way he has been playing he will be a loss to us,and for the time being he has won over some of the BOO Boys.
