So many big teams ended up second in the groups this time round there was no real benefit to all the English winning the groups! Obviously something went haywire with the drawing machine though as it failed to come up with Barcelona v Chelsea. UEFA will be mighty disappointed!
The Scouser I work with is even being defeatist about that draw. I can see Liverpool beating them, then getting knocked out by Lyon!

I think Liverpool have every chance of winning, especially if they make some additions in January. Can’t see Celtic winning though because they haven't got Shittu! ;D Bayern vs Real will be an interesting game as well, I thought Bayern had an outside chance of winning this year, and I don’t think they have been defeated so far, but Madrid can be quality on their day and seem more consistent this season.
Does anyone else feel like me, that the CL is a really awful competition? I don't care who plays who. It is a corrupt little club that rewards footballs have-lots, for coming 4th in their respective domestic league. I doubt Roadsendscally will agree, but does anyone else think that the CL is just bad for football?
Actually, I totally agree with you mate, I have had this arguement for years with Man U fans, who always said to me it was an easy competition to win in the 70's and 80's. My arguemnet was that while there werent as many games to play it was a lot bloody harder to qualify for it in the first place. ie. Champions only Just a money go round comp now, the same 32 teams virtually every season.
It's cos you tried to link straight from your pc mate. If you wanna put a picture up you need to go into post reply, 'Manage Attachments', 'Browse', find your picture, 'Upload', 'Close this Window', then 'Submit Reply' like normal.
Guessing it's a digital camera picture? Two main things to try: (1) Shrink it down or crop out pointless background stuff or (2) if it isn't already, change it to a .jpg file as they tend to be smaller. You can do all that in Paint. If you're totally at a loss with all that email it me at uearichard@gmail.com and I'll whack it up for you, no problems.

Having a look on net now for flights, had some ryanair ones going to Barca for 1p last month, £33 in total with tax.
