Hopefully the Millers' luck will have expired by Saturday.

Two definite penalties from what I have just seen denied to the TBs.

I'm on the fence about it. Manning almost took MK up playing some very nice football, but he also got them relegated which makes his time there hard to gauge, but has bounced back by doing well with Oxford. Pearson can probably feel hard by a bit as he definitely hasn't been bad. I would say that now is a great time for Bristol City to try something new though, they're bang mid-table (and probably overachieving slightly) so the mood around the squad is likely good and there's no pressure of a relegation battle (unless things go very wrong!) for Manning to deal with alongside the complete overhaul in terms of playstyle so as a long-term decision it's a good one. As a short term decision - that remains to be seen!

Strangely, the sequence of scoring and timings in Rotherham’s game last night was almost exactly the same as those in our last home game v Millwall.

Wagner tends to start well but quickly go downhill. I suzpect he's good at building morale but crap at football.

Delia and Mr Delia were the poorest owners in the Prem, so they haven't had money to strengthen the squad. The fans want them to spend anyway (see also Watford). An American was supposed to be buying in, but I dunno if it's happened yet.

Cannot be much better feeling than a last minute winner at your rivals !?

Blue Nose Troy must be looking on in horror as his beloved BCFC has plummeted from a heady 6th position play off place to 18th.
No wins and a disastrous start by Wayne’s World Rooney.
Big mistake to let John Eustace go.

This is the 2cnd time Birminum have done this i.e. sacking the manager when in the play offs
then plunging into the relegation zone

I like Eustace, seemed absurd to me for them to get rid of them not only for where they were but also what he did with them last season, but looking at them against us, I'm wondering if they were in something of a false position because they were pretty mediocre

Maybe, but could compare to Sean Dyche getting us to 11th and being pretty mediocre on limited funds when sacked by Pozzo for a new ‘high profile name’ manager.
Given a chance elsewhere, Dyche has done OK.
I hope Eustace gets the same opportunity.

I see what you mean, but the difference is we completely overhauled our squad and our operational philosophy that summer, even Dyche himself would admit he'd have struggled to work under the Pozzos and probably with that squad too

Dyche couldn’t speak foreign back then?,
but I’m sure he could have done what most Englishmen do with Johnny Foreigners and just shout louder.

Leeds might have been looking for a bit of VAR or better luck on that offside as was very tight .

Maybe Rotherham aren't that bad after all? Or maybe they're simply a much stiffer test at home!

They also drew with Ipswich at home .

Very different team to the away one it seems .

Even with decent performances they dont win enough games to counter their poor away form though.

I think it's more the latter from what results have been like this season. Doesn't undermine what we did well against them a few weeks ago though.

6-6-6. Exceedingly mid table but I have the feeling we can poss sneak playoffs this year.

Ipswich and Leicester will be PL sides next season. Sheff Wed could get a real hammering tonight.

After Wednesday lost at Birmingham (who'd picked up 1 point from their previous 5 games) on Saturday after leading 1-0 going into half time, they equalled their catastrophic start to their last season in the Premier League which contributed heavily to their relegation. What's more, they'd already dropped more points (45) in November than they did the whole of last season (42).

They beat Middlesbrough in their next league game in the 1999/00 season. If they don't win tonight (looking likely) then they surely will have had their worst start to a season at any level, converting wins from earlier seasons from 2 to 3 points.

Well, Sheffield Wednesday held Leicester... throws my theory at the window about them getting smashed.
Swansea are crud so no surprised Leeds won, Ipswich bounced back well from only their second loss against Wazza's brum.
Huddersfield beating Sunderland away was a bit of a shock scoreline. QPR fans will be fuming since they won last night! :)

I think Huddersfield should have enough if they believe in the manager, as shown last season. It looks bleak for the two other Yorkshire teams down there, so I think they and QPR will be looking for inspiration from the January transfers to change their fortunes.

Ipswich have stuttered a bit recently. I'm hoping Leeds can pip them for that final automatic spot by the end of the season.
