Already looking good for Leicester and Ipswich.

QPR and Sheffield W doomed ?

Wednesday probably yeah, 11 points even at this early stage is a lot, and even if they did look better against us (suspect probably not tonight though!), they sorely lacked cutting edge. QPR have looked way off the pace, in theory they do have their Hail Mary move of sacking the manager (which might work for them as I don't see why they should look that out of their depth), but whether they can afford to is another matter

    True.

    Surely Anisworth will go ?

According to the BBC SW had all the game then Plymouth scored 2 in a few minutes and that was it .

May as well just relegate Sheff Wed now and save them the pain. But to be fair, they were'nt awful and a bit like they played against us, moved the ball better and had chances. Plymouth took their chances when they fell and that was the difference. Rotherham brushing Coventry under the carpet was a bit of a surprise. Ipswich continue to make mince meat of this division on their way back to the Premiership. Can nobody stop them?

One of the most blatant handballs I’ve ever seen at Deepdale and it wasn’t given. Southampton then go onto equalise in the last seconds of stoppage time. When your luck is in, it’s in.

I would say the same about Wednesday - yes, the gap between the Championship and League 1 has got bigger (as shown by the fact that Wigan and Rotherham keep going down and back up) but a side that accrued that many points in League 1 and with players like Bannan, Windass, Paterson and Michael Smith (even if the first three have been missing some games) shouldn't be that uncompetitive up here, especially when you'd think they have the size and money to attract players to improve the squad. Hate to say it, but it seems appointing Xisco did a lot of damage to the morale and balance of the squad from which it will take a long time to fully recover.

I have a feeling they'll get out of it, if only for the reason that they surely can't get relegated to the third tier for a fourth time - they've taken a gamble appointing a young manager with no managerial experience, but Germany does have a great depth of managerial talent as you'd expect from a footballing nation that seems on the whole much more well-organized and intelligent than us (though the national team has struggled in recent years).

More likely the sacking of Moore did that!

Same could be said for Xisco to a large degree. He won the jackpot when we landed the job at Watford. All the players' needed was a warm smiley face and an arm around the shoulder (plus an injury) to get what was the best side in the division firing again. When we got promoted, bar 45mins at home to Villa and Norwich away he looked out of his depth and clearly wasn't cut out for the highest level of football. When he took the Wednesday position, I expected him to do better than he did. He's a nice bloke, but his football management skills are well below what they should be with the experience he has gained. A team like Sheffield Wed need a grafter, a bit like Ivic - somebody to shout a bit and get them playing above themselves.

Xisco had a reputation here for being a man manager, but there was little evidence of that until after Coventry away, and there are certainly players like Wilmot and Garner and probably others who weren't enamoured with him at all, ultimately the best way to create a good atmosphere is to win games, and having the best players in the division available to you helps massively towards that goal

I think anyone would struggle at Wednesday at the moment, those players are OK for this division and probably shouldn't be adrift, but certainly not equipped to excel at Championship level, and are getting on a bit. Seems a bit odd in light of the age of their squad and lack of money available that they go and appoint a manager who wants them to press high, he's got a massive job on his hands

Yeah, sacking your manager who wins you promotion in such a way - who do they think they are, Watford?!

Ironically, it's something we should have done the last time, but we don't have the killer instinct we had before which made us successful in the first place under the Pozzos

4-0 down again and it's only half time.

Got to be some of the worst defending I have seen since we play. Huddersfield are so open, Leeds are walking through their backline. This could very nasty for Town unless the tighten up. On a positive side, it keeps us above them for another week at least.

Ainsworth have been sacked (finally) by QPR. Bit harsh on today's performance they were playing the division leaders, but he just hasn't been able to get a tune out of them for almost two years. Time for a change and long overdue.

QPR are in a right state. I don’t think any one can keep them up.

Wednesday and QPR down for certain. Last space you fancy to go to Rotherham but someone usually gets away so maybe it will be them.

It’s surely absurdly early to be saying this? The season still has more than six months to run. We’re still in British Summer Time!

Rotherham won last weekend and their next three games are Wednesday, QPR and us, so they might find themselves out of the relegation zone soon!

I'll be honest, they are bad, but they have some good players, and I really don't see why they should be looking so shambolic, they should at least make a fist of survival, which I think they will under Colin

If Leicester don’t run away with this league then they don’t deserve promotion. Haven’t even played them yet but they’re by far and away the best team in the division.

Wednesday are done already and QPR are in big trouble. Their only saving grace is they may get Warnock in and if they do, he’ll keep them up

Sheffield Wednesday comfortably beat Rotherham, our win doesn't look so bad now as they look a different team.

Not just now - it didn't look so bad at the time either as they looked a different team already when we played them.

Which some doom-mongers on here were unwilling to consider despite basically all Wednesday fans having said so.
