    I've always liked Ashley Barnes!

    Admirable fellow!

93rd minute penalty for Brizzle City pulls them level with Sunderland.

Mixed bag of results today really. Boro, Millwall and Blackburn all win, Sunderland and Norwich draw. Scum lose.

    Hard to disagree.

I shall raise a glass to Barnes but by 10am tomorrow he will revert to the cheating, duplicitous, malodorous **** that he is.

Puts us down to 8th. Most teams are on level games with us now. So it’s a fair reflection of where we are as a team.

Beat WBA on Monday we could go 5th, but there are still sides who have games in hand over us. All we can do now is look after ourselves and try to grind out as many wins as we can in these final few months.

Nicely researched. But, in the end , we are going to have to win some games.

    Down to 8th.

Don't worry though. It's highly unlikely we finish outside the play off places.

Looking forward to the mass clear out we have this summer, so we can start from scratch. These 15 won’t be here next season for various reasons.

    Okoye
    Gaspar
    Kaba
    Kamara
    Louza
    Choudhury
    Sarr
    Pedro
    Martins
    Davis
    Araujo
    TDB
    Bacuna
    Clevs
    Gosling

I hope Manga and Costa are ready to bring in 10+ players as well as a new manager.

Sheffield Utd will not be looking forward to our visit not because of us but because 'boro have closed the gap from infinity to 7 points after a poor run from Sheffield and Middlesbrough hitting their straps . However, clutching at straws, now is the time to put a run together as opposed to Dec/Jan or February.
6 points from the next 2 matches and with a reasonable run in I can see no reason why ....etc etc

    I'll get me coat !!

Agreed to that if we don’t get promoted .
If we do I would like to think Pedro, Louza and Sarr will still be here . Maybe Choudry , but he maybe doesn’t have the technique to thrive as a EPL midfielder.

I think when that happens will be back to square one, relying on loans from udinese again.

Prepare to welcome back to Watford our former stars, Isaac success, masina, zeeglaar.

I’d like to think there will be a mass clear out too. But it does all depend on which league we’ll be in.

Assuming we don’t go up, it’s probably easier to predict who will still be at the club.

Here’s my take on who stays.

    Bachmann
    Morris
    Porteous
    Cathcart
    Hoedt
    Sierralta
    Ferreira
    Gaspar
    Kone
    Louza
    TDB
    Cleverley
    Kayembe

7% chance of promotion as it stands, but at least that’s 2% more then Coventry.

Not a chance Cleverley will still be here next season. His contract ends in the Summer and considering he is well past his prime with a horrendous injury record this season, I think he will be first out the door. Be that through a free transfer or he retires. If we have to keep one of our aged CB's, it's Cathcart all day over Kabasele. Kamara will be gone we know that, Gosling is in the same boat as Cleverley.

That is genuinely horrible and I also think that Louza would go and probably Sierralta too (full Chile international whose career has stagnated with us). Bayo and Ngakia will still be around, Sema should be too and might be able to wring another season out of Asprilla before he realises his career is going nowhere with us. But we would pretty much need to bring in a whole bunch of attackers and won't have the money for any proven goalscorers. Fun times!

Pretty grim stuff. Could maybe see Martins coming back, and maybe 1/2 more from Udinese (Isaac and Masina??). Potentially add Hurtado to the mix?

Think in that scenario next season would be a consolidation, add in a few more £1/2m potential-based signings then attack promotion the season after

I think it will have to be promotion or not sure what sort of mess we might be in .

Yes Sema and Asprilla should be part of things. My error to omit them. Some of those loan players could be part of the squad too. Fletcher, Quina, Pollock and Hungbo.

Hungbo scored a cracker today, and Fletcher scored last week. From what I’ve seen, Fletcher is better than both Manaj and Assombalonga.

I don’t think we’ll retain Bayo and I think Ngakia will be sold (released).

I agree, he is utter garbage, but is better than the two strikers I mentioned.

Yeah fair enough, I guess it depends what you’re aspirations and expectations are for next season though. Fletcher had his loan cancelled with an MLS team and has scored 1 goal in 15 for Wigan. If he was our starting striker next season then we won’t be anywhere near the promotion spots with a striker that very, very rarely scores goals, and never has done throughout his entire career.

When we were a potless club regularly fighting relegation we regularly picked ourselves up a cheap 15/20 goal a season striker, I think even with reduced parachute payments next season and a worsening debt situation, if we can’t pick up a more effective striker than Ashley Fletcher it really is the beginning of the end, or probably closer to the end than that.

Sadly don’t think we would even think about making such lower league for potentially good players now whilst the Pozzos are here .

Fletcher could be our modern day Peter Beadle. What a depressing thought.

QPR manager gone - didn’t last long

    1 win in 12.

Losing Micheal Beale really has messed them up .

Just get behind the lads FFS, we can still catch Millwall!!!
