Delusional because people were saying there was a conspiracy.

I have shown some evidence to suggest why there might be a reason for the amount of penalties, not some conjecture because we are sour about our defeat and we are looking for a conspiracy.

If Watford did this, would you cheer the penalty going in?

That's normally what I would expect. A direct link between attacking teams getting a lot more penalties than other clubs, but that not apply to us in 2011-12 season. We scored more goals than anyone else that season, but only got 6 penalties for and 18 against!! I still can't believe that stat.

As I said before, I was linking to amount of attacks and pressing, not amount of goals. We played far more on the counter in that season, not high pressing.

I know what you're saying but 6 penalties for and 18 against is still an amazing stat for a club that finished 3rd. I would think that stat is more likely to be linked with a team that finished bottom.

I didn't actually condemn it. There is a blurry line between cheating and clever play.

I'm sure I'd cheer the penalty (although I don't like how he had clearly practised it and had no intention of going for the ball), but I'd get annoyed at a player who went down holding their face.

And if anyone did 'a Drogba', and constantly left the pitch on a stretcher to then jump up and come on again, I'd certainly not be putting their name on my kids football shirt, no matter how many goals they scored.

I think there should be a diving committee which ban diving players after the game, which would cut out a lot of what we see, even the ambiguous stuff, due to fear of looking like they are going down too easily.

Take into account our disciplinary record that season - we had a dirty, cynical team. It's no wonder we gave away so many penalties really.
