Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a floral basket to Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) and president of the Republic of Cuba, on the occasion of his birthday.

The floral basket bearing the august name of Kim Jong Un was courteously conveyed to the deputy head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee by the DPRK ambassador to Cuba on April 20.

Written on the ribbon of the floral basket were letters reading "Warm birthday greetings to Comrade Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic of Cuba"

Think the Cubans should reject it as thousands die of starvation in North Korea. There is nothing socialist about that state.

Dear Clive that rather misses the point. A truly socialist state would be concerned about it's citizens. Not leaving them to starve, murdering any who who don't toe the official line and creating a cult around a leader figure rather than praising everyone for being an individual. This is the problem with states before. Certain humans become involved and their ego and rapacity for power over others takes over. Unfortunately they have a clique of others also willing to do the dirty work in order that they may share some of the spoils.

North Korea is nothing to be proud of compared to Cuba. The money the despot is spending on weapons and causing all sorts of needless tension while importing all manner of luxuries for himself could be spent on modernizing the nation and improving the lot of everyone. That is a true leader.

  5. Clive_ofthe_Kremlin

Oh yeah, I agree entirely. I'm not defending at all North Korea and its system.

My point is that engagement and good relations are the way to advance in my opinion rather than threats, sabre-rattling, invasions and bombs.

Cuba has sent volunteers - doctors, teachers, opticians, sports trainers etc etc - to vast number of countries around the world. That includes the UK. Obviously doing so and maintaining friendly relations is not a sign of endorsement or support for that country's current government. It is diplomacy.

I agree with you on that point most whole heartedly Clive. I applaud Cuba for what it has done despite the sanctions and threats in the last six decades. However a regime like North Korea not that I think it's leader really cares about his friends barring China would care about making friendly relations as endorsements. He's mad, bad and dangerous. There are plenty of others too all driven by the lust for power and sheer greed. How long will it take for humans to progress through this and realize that this is all a charade. This idea of power. Power over what.

The Monroe Doctrine (all the Americas belongs to us!) never went away. The USA with its colonies in the region ("we call 'em protectorates, but they're colonies") believes itself to be Lord, master and ruler of the entire continent.

Leftie nonsense surely? Of the type spouted by uppity commies such as Bolivar, Martí, Chavéz and Castro!

Well the doodle dandies don't usually talk quite as plainly and honestly as Tucker Carlson does here. Imagine China helping build infrastructure for countries like poverty-stricken Haiti! The outrage!

Cuba Has Been Saving Lives Worldwide for 60 Years

Since 1963, Cuban health workers have treated 3 million people and performed over 16 million surgeries in 165 countries.

On Tuesday, Cubans celebrate the 60th anniversary of the start of the solidarity actions that their doctors and health workers have carried out around the world.

“Today is a day of gratitude for the opportunity we have had to be part of this great army of white coats that is making history in the five continents," said Idael Cabrera, a doctor who is part of a Cuban mission in Ghana.

"The whole world knows the value and commitment of our professionals, and we are grateful for that,” he pointed out on the occasion of the four decades of Cuban health cooperation in that African country.

She told the Daily Mirror: “They were lashed to the end of anti-aircraft guns. Their bodies were blown to bits, totally destroyed, blood and bits flying everywhere.

“And then after that military tanks moved in and they ran over the bits on the ground where the remains lay.”

The woman escaped to China and then Seoul, South Korea, after her father died in 2015. His status in the regime, as a colonel in the North Korean military, afforded them some privileges and she even met Mr Kim at events, finding him “terrifying”, she told the site.

The dictator has teen girls removed from school to work at his hideouts as sex slaves, she claimed.

She said: “They take the prettiest and ensure they have straight, good legs.”

  12. The correct response from the "deputy head of the International Department of the C.C., Communist Party of Cuba" should have been:

Speaking to his mouth-frothing, crazy-eyed fan base in the wormery of Miami, fruitcake in chief Trump reveals very clearly how the USA was trying to bring down Venezuela and steal its oil.

You might remember the little crisis, which included cyber attacks on the power supply, extensive economic sanctions and even armed incursions by dodgy Floridian private 'security' companies. The one the newspapers and Simon Reeve explained had all been caused by terrible "socialist mismanagement".

"When I left,Venezuela was ready to collapse, we would’ve taken it over and would’ve gotten all that oil,”

“But now we’re buying oil from Venezuela, so we’re making a dictator very rich.”

Whilst worming it up in Miami, Trump visited his core support in Little Havana at the 'famous' (sic) Versailles restaurant, which is supposedly Cuban. Although you will struggle to find a paler and more palid bunch of 'cubans' than the lot attending here.

After lots of wormy cheers and backslapping, it's time to take a moment for the traditional prayers: "Father as Cuban-Americans we declare...Carrmunism will NOT come to our shores". "AMEN!!!" shouts the grand exilio gleefully. "Jesus loves you!" they shout.

Trump does some mingling. A lady roams around, looking annoyed and trying to find someone called Thalia.

At 3:47 in the video, Don Donald shows the big-hearted generosity for which this multi-millionaire is so famous. "FOOD FOR EVERYONE!" he declares, looking over to the kitchen. "Food for everyone!" The gathered wormery applaud enthusiastically and let out a huge cheer! Don's treating us all to lunch! Hurray! They break out into a ragged chorus of "Happy Birthday to you".

After a few minutes more of hand shaking and back slapping, a few words into the microphone for the reporters and it's back in the motorcade limo and off to the airport.

He didn't pay anybody's food bill.

Trump did not eat any of the Cuban delights himself, but feasted on McDonald’s later in his plane, The New York Times reported.

It’s a shame that the US’s oppressive and imperialist attitudes to Cuba mean that it is drawn towards partnerships with Countries like Iran, in turn strengthening that dictatorship’s murderous grip on its citizens.

Trade is good and the complete isolation of Iran doesn’t help its people either. But the Iranian State is not a friend of Cuba or its own people.

Alarming news compañeros! It has been discovered that China is building or has built a top-secret squirrel SPY base in Cuba so it can 'evesdrop' on sensitive US intelligence!

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/jun/08/china-cuba-base-florida-spy-surveillance

Actually there may be more than one spy base. There may be LOADS of them. All secretly listening in. Chinese people sat wearing earphones while twiddling little dials on valve sets connected to massive antenna pointed at Miami. Because of course even though there are super-secure, uncrackable, scrambled and coded messages that can be sent over the Internet, the USA's intelligence network still relies on trusty 1940s radio communications that can be listened in to - just as long as you're close enough.

The "story" was broken by the Wall Street Journal and went huge. Donald Trump says that there are multiple bases in Cuba and the reason Biden is doing nothing is because he's receiving millions of dollars in secret payments from the Chinese to keep it all hush hush.

But as the fever builds and the mouths begin to froth, it's become apparent that these bases might also be Chinese military training camps. Where they're getting ready to invade and DESTROY Miami and the whole USA!

Rep. Maria Salazar, R-Fla., told Newsmax Friday that China is "getting ready for a military war" with the United States by building a spy base in Cuba.

"That Chinese base is going to be very close to my house in Miami," Salazar said Friday. "China has been in an economic war with the United States and the trade war for the last 25 years, and now a new chapter is opening up. They're preparing for military war."

"It's very bad news and [President Joe] Biden’s administration should be doing something energetically in telling the Chinese Chairman Xi [Jinping] that it is not going to allow, 90 miles away from MY HOME, from the United States, to have this type of installations," she said. "They're ready for war and [we are] allowing them to do it, to get prepared"

The answer has to be a carpet bombing campaign obviously. Strike first. Let those Cuban commies know who's boss. It's either that or get invaded!

  19. Clive_ofthe_Kremlin

    Clive_ofthe_Kremlin Squad Player

ABC News Reports that in fact the Cuban spy base has been threatening Ms Salazar's home and the whole USA for years! There's no doubt about it. The base is there, or they've agreed to have a base or there are loads of bases. Anyway it's all confirmed and beyond doubt.

WASHINGTON -- China has been operating a spy base in Cuba since at least 2019, part of a global effort by Beijing to upgrade its intelligence-gathering capabilities, according to a Biden administration official.

The official, who was not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the U.S. intelligence community has been aware of China's spying from Cuba and a larger effort to set up intelligence-gathering operations around the globe for some time.

The existence of the Chinese spy base was CONFIRMED after The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that China and Cuba had reached an agreement in principle to build an electronic eavesdropping station on the island.

What SHOULD the USA do in response to this terrible threat? It's a question that's taxing every sharp mind in Washington and Miami. How do they show these Cubans and these Chinese invaders that these military training camps will NOT be tolerated and that they're READY and prepared for the imminent invasion of millions of chinese storm troopers across the Florida straits?

According to this article in The Diplomat.com "In fact, the Biden administration revealed that China has operated the facility in Cuba since 2019"

Dr Evan Ellis, who is also a Latin America research professor at the U.S. Army War College, proposed his own course of action for the United States. “It is important that the U.S. have a very strong response,” he said, “because if we seem to suggest that this is okay, then China becomes emboldened in Venezuela, Nicaragua, or Honduras, and other parts of the region that might have the will to allow it in.” He added, “I certainly would not recommend a kinetic response, but, at the very minimum, significant additional sanctions and the targeting of Cuban personnel associated with this — possibly, even attempt to institute some sort of embargo with respect to the ability to bring personnel in and out of Cuba and to operate that facility.”

Sanctions imposed against Cuba for the last 60+ years have worked so well up until now, that 'additional sanctions' are sure to have a massive effect and make those Cubans really suffer! Let's get those Cuban personnel 'targeted'. I'm assuming that is a code word for 'murdered'. And the idea to impose a complete blockade of anyone entering or leaving Cuba by air or by sea is marvellous. And just what Cuba deserves for accommodating this vast Chinese invasion force that imminently threatens the complete destruction of the United States.

The Diplomat.com itself suggests that "some of the possible responses from the U.S. could include a ramping up of counter-intelligence operations in Cuba and China and information-gathering operations to find out more about the facility’s capabilities and activities, along with a weakening of the intelligence-gathering capacity of the station. The closing or relocation of U.S. military and diplomatic facilities in Cuba could also be considered, along with further sanctions and embargoes."

I certainly agree that closing the U.S. military torture camp at Guantanamo is a great idea. That would strike a real blow to those Cuban commies! They won't like having a piece of Cuban territory, including one the island's best deep water ports, that's been illegally occupied against their will for over a century returned to them. They'll hate that. Further sanctions and embargoes are one area where Doc Ellis and The Diplomat agree. It's only sensible. Although tough to see how when there are already 100% sanctions to the point of cruelty and absurdity, you can increase them any more.

    https://thediplomat.com/2023/06/what-should-the-us-do-about-chinas-spy-facility-in-cuba/

Some more details of the nefarious activities going on and exactly where this base is located. It's in Bejucal.

    The Washington Times reports:-

Manuel Cereijo, a professor of electronic engineering at Florida International University, reported: “Chinese personnel have allegedly been working out of the Bejucal listening post since March 1999. In 1995, [Russia] began helping Cuba build the base south of Havana. It is allegedly capable of both eavesdropping and ‘cyber-warfare.’

And what response from the Cubans? How do they deny the absolute proof of a Wall Street Journal article AND an unnamed US government official speaking anonymously? What weasel words can they come up with before they start being 'targeted', sanctioned and embargoed?

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodrigues says:

"The assertions made by the US Secretary of State about the presence of a Chinese spy base in Cuba are false. Totally false. Cuba’s standing on this subject is clear and unequivocal. These are unfounded allegations. Cuba is not a threat to the United States or any other country. The United States implements a policy that threatens and punishes the entire Cuban population on a daily basis. The US has imposed and owns tens of military bases in our region and also maintains, against the will of the Cuban people, a military base in the territory that it illegally occupies in the province of Guantánamo. We are witnessing a new disinformation operation, similar to the many others in the United States throughout its long history of hostility against our country."

But of course he would say that wouldn't he.

Perhaps the best condemnation would come from the local residents of Bejucal. Those who have had to put up with all these Chinese military stationed there for decades and army trucks roaring around and all the training going on ready for the invasion.

"When they start saying things like that, it's because they have some motive. God knows what they'll come up with later. "

"They're always inventing things. They don't know what to make up about our country next."

"I guess they do it to continue scaring us here"

Hmmmm...so if Youtubers 'Breakthrough News' were able to just nip over to Cuba and have a look and see whether there IS a base or not, then maybe some of these expert professional journalists could risk doing the same.

Perhaps even grab a few surreptitious photos of the formidable high-security fences around the secretive Chinese base? Reuters did just that, managing to gain what they describe as 'rare access'...

Also coming to these rapidly multiplying Chinese/Cuban bases apparently:- Hypersonic missiles, a submarine base (!), camouflage offensive weapons, delivery systems and other threatening capabilities.

"The potential of significant Chinese facilities in Cuba is a red-flag threat to America."

    "a prospect we cannot tolerate"

"America should move immediately to thwart China’s intrusive ambitions. Revoking diplomatic relations with Cuba; increased economic sanctions against both China and Cuba; and far stricter implementation of existing sanctions, are required."

"As evidence grows that China is prepared to take full advantage of Cuba’s geographic proximity to America, we need to think again about how to overthrow Havana’s post-Castro regime."

"Both Havana and Beijing need to understand, without qualification, that they have no license to engage in behavior threatening the United States. We are bound by no commitment limiting our use of force."

"We should examine how to block construction of Chinese military facilities. Guantanamo Bay, for example, was never prepared as a staging ground for anti-Castro activities but remains fully available to us today."

The above quotes come from 'The Hill' a supposedly serious US news source from Washington.

So they recommend breaking off relations again (yet again), more and tougher blockade to hurt the cuban people some more, a hint about using military force for regime change, invasion (again) and using Guantanamo for lots and lots of lovely 'anti-Castro' activities.

As Fidel has been dead a few years now, it's hard to see what anti-Castro activities could be undertaken. Grafitti-ing on his tomb perhaps?

The bloke from Bejucal in the video was spot on. Those Yankees are up to something. Only they know what it is, but they're up to something.

Portugal is to boost the country's public health system by hiring 300 doctors from Cuba.

The Ministry of Health aims to address the gaps in the National Health Service (SNS) by recruiting these doctors for three years.

The necessary procedures to facilitate their integration into the public system are already underway, taking into account the required tests and qualifications, including proficiency in Portuguese.

This is not the first time Portugal has sought the assistance of Cuban doctors. In 2009, 44 Cuban doctors were welcomed to reinforce the public network in certain regions.

Cuba condemns the arrival of a farkin' nuclear sub at the yankee base in Guantánamo. Thought they didn't like nukes in Cuba.

Argies sympathise. No more Yankee warships in America Latina! The Yankee occupation of Guantánamo is like the British pirates and their continuing illegal occupation of Las Malvinas - every barrio in Latin America nods and says "true dat".

The Pastors for Peace Brigade has arrived, bless 'em. They come every year, bringing aid, despite the US attempts to stop them - even physically with batons on occasion! A big group of friends from the sister island of Puerto Rico have also flown into Holguin ahead of the big day. What big day? 26th July!!! The day of national rebellion! When we remember the anniversary of Fidel and the brave revolutionaries attack on Batista's Moncada fortress in 1952, which although not hugely successful, inspired the formation of the 26th July movement and kickstarted the whole revolution. It's the biggest Cuban day of the year. More on that as the big day approaches. Much, much more.

Belarus have declared their eternal and undying friendship with Cuba and sent 156 (one hundred and fifty six) tractors. Bless those Belorussians. Proper gents. That'll help with the agriculture.

Also Russia has started a daily tourist service from Moscow to Varadero which will boost the tourism and get those strong roubles in the island's coffers. Of course the flight takes about 16 hours because it has to go on a wildly circuitous route up and down and round to avoid going through European or US airspace.

Russia is also sending plenty of oil and Venezuela is stepping it up too. Much needed. Last summer was very bad for power cuts because of the lack of oil and transport anywhere has become super expensive in Cuba at the moment. It's been a very difficult time. Fortunately there are some Turkish electricity generating ships which have been anchored up and pumping in the kW for the past few months. Good country Turkey. Nice place. Pleasant people. Excellent barbers.

The EU is voting today on a fiery right-wing resolution which SLAMS Cuba for supposed human rights violations and calls for the release of "political prisoners" (sic). The tentacles of the gusanos reach far and there are many alliances between the right wing fruitcakes in the US and their European counterparts. Anyway pass it, don't pass it. Who gives a fack. Cuba isn't injured. And as the EU president noted a short while back "The EU has neither the will nor the capacity to impose change on Cuba".

The "political prisoners" they most refer to are those jailed for smashing up the place on July 11th 2021 in those protests stirred up by the gusanos. People like that one old Lord Topp gave me when I asked him for the name of someone who had been "disappeared" and who turned out to be a right 'orrible git who was plain guilty of rioting and disorder. People who threw rocks at the cops and smashed in shop windows and stole stuff and who turned over a police car and set fire to it.

Now I would like to ask YOU dear reader, are those "political prisoners"? If you believe they are and that the obvious breaking of the law they did was excused because they had political motives against the government, then would you tell me whether those British JSO people who are jailed for heavy sentences and/or physically attacked by Mail-frothing white van drivers or public schoolboy international cricketers are also political prisoners?

If you'd agree that JSO and say those people who chucked the statue into the river in Bristol etc are political prisoners, then would you think it any of distant Cuba's business to be interfering and "demanding" their release? No? Well flippin' do one then Eurocrats. I'm with Nigel Farage on this one.

There's going to be a big free family day this Sunday at the Alicia Alonso centre in Havana. All are welcome. Professional and internationally renowned dancers will give classes in all forms of dance, including ballet, rumba, fusion, flamenco, merengue, bachata and of course Rrrrrica cha, Rica cha, Rica cha! We'll all be dancing cha-cha-cha! Bring your own tight trousers and enormous frilly sleeves.

Some possibility of light showers in the east of the island today, but ladies might want to take a parasol and a fan with you if you're going out, with sunny skies and temperatures ranging from a maximum of 36 degrees C in Oriente province to 32 in Pinar del Río.

There will be a gentle north-easterly breeze of around 15kph and the sea state will be moderate.

After the refusal of Mexico and the Dominican Republic to get involved, the member countries of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) have formulated a request to the Government of Cuba to send soldiers to Haiti, as "blue helmets" under United Nations mandate and co-financed by the United States.

This request, which Havana has kept confidential, was decided at the 45th meeting of Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) held in July in Trinidad and Tobago. A favorite option for North Americans...

The United States also remained silent on the request of Caricom in Cuba, but the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken who participated in the Caricom summit "did not reject the option of sending Cuban soldiers as peacekeepers into Haiti".

But, but...a country which according to the USA is a "state sponsor of terrorism" being a regional peacekeeper?

A total of 62 people who were engaged in smuggling Cuban migrants into the European Union were arrested in a joint operation by Europol and INTERPOL, 25 of which were also of Cuban nationality.

The criminals took part in activities of migrant smuggling through a widely-used messaging application, targeting vulnerable Cuban clients. They guaranteed to arrange the migrants’ entire journey, including transfers and false documentation, for a substantial fee of approximately €9000.

Exploiting Serbia’s lack of visa requirements, the criminals flew the individuals from Cuba to Serbia and later transported them to Greece before reaching Spain. The investigation has revealed that an estimated 5,000 Cuban citizens were successfully smuggled into the EU, leading to a profit of around €4 million for the criminal network.

In June 2023, police officers from these three countries confiscated forged documents, forgery equipment, 18 properties, 33 vehicles, 144 bank accounts and significant amounts of cash.

Upon arrival in Serbia, they entered North Macedonia and Greece by using different routes and, often, criminals directing migrants to walk in darkness with no supplies.

Additionally, migrants, including minors, were subjected to scams, robberies and sexual exploitation for some women who were transferred to other criminal organisations.

The criminal network provided falsified documents or used the “lookalike” strategy to transport the migrants to other EU nations when they arrived in Greece. From there, they either requested asylum or continued their journey to other EU countries like Spain or Italy.

Using the “lookalike” strategy, real travel documents were stolen and given to migrants who remarkably resembled the real passport holder.

QUẢNG BÌNH – Coming from Cuba, Dr Annet Ramos is used to working in hot weather conditions.

It’s no different for her now she calls Việt Nam home.

At 7am you’ll find Dr Ramos starting her shift at the Việt Nam - Cuba Friendship Hospital, in the central province of Quảng Bình.

She’s been working here for the past four years in the paediatric department taking care of children.

“The healthcare system in Việt Nam is truly different from our system in Cuba,” the 53-year-old said.

To all the patients here, this ‘‘foreign” doctor is always enthusiastic and caring for her patients. The language barrier might cause difficulties but she always finds a way to make it easier.

“I know English so it is easy for me to talk with her,” Bồng added.

“But with other families, if there are no interpreters or Vietnamese doctors around, she will use a translation application on her phone to explain the disease to patients.”

Dr Ramos said: “With my care, I noticed the children became more familiar and started waiting for me at the door.

“When they see me, they would talk to me in English and even give me candy. The most important thing is that I love children, so I feel happy working here in this hospital when the patients place their trust in me.”

Before coming to Việt Nam, the doctor spent a long time studying and working in medicine in Cuba and other countries. She single-handedly managed to balance her studies, work and raise her son, who now also has a career in medicine.

Doctor Nguyễn Đức Cường, director of the hospital, praised Cuban doctors like Dr Ramos for their diligent and responsible working style.

Dr Cường said: “They are also very friendly and frequently engaging in meetings in normal life. All of them say that they consider Việt Nam as their home and wish to continue working here.”

Dr Ramos is a part of an exchange cooperation programme between the two countries’ Ministries of Health that so far, has seen seven doctors work in Việt Nam since April 2018.

They are experts in various fields such as interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopaedic trauma, oncology, paediatrics and gastrointestinal endoscopy.

After four years, Việt Nam has become more and more familiar to her.

She added: “As time went on, I started to admire and love Quảng Bình and the people here. I have many cheerful and friendly Vietnamese friends.

“I also have opportunities to learn about its beautiful traditions. The city’s beauty made a lasting impression on me. People persistently working towards rebuilding and developing the economy have filled me with a sense of honour to be here.”

At the Việt Nam - Cuba Friendship Hospital, since its inauguration in 1974, the cooperation between the two countries has been consistently maintained.

For Dr Ramos, she plans to continue working in Việt Nam for two more years before heading to Panama, Central America to further enhance her experience in infectious diseases.

Nairobi — Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba has disclosed that Kenyan boxers will train in Cuba ahead of next year's Olympic Games in Paris, as part of an exchange program with their government.

Namwamba says his recent visit to Cuba bore off the agreement, which will also see Cuban athletes given an opportunity to train in Kenya's high-altitude areas, also to prepare for the Olympic Games.

    Guilty Verdict

A man and a woman were sentenced to 12 and 8 years of imprisonment, respectively, when found guilty of being the perpetrators of a crime of Robbery with Violence or Intimidation.

The sentence was announced in the Third Criminal Chamber of the People's Provincial Court of Havana, when a public trial was held where the parties involved in the process appeared. During sentencing, it is stated that both sanctioned individuals were willing to illegally increase their personal assets to the detriment of others.

    Punched
They approached another couple in order to steal mobile phones, money and clothing. During these events, which occurred on Calle 44, between 57 and 61, Playa municipality, Havana, the defendant suddenly and unexpectedly rushed at the man victim and punched him hard in the face.

Given the impact, this caused him to fall to the ground and in that position, the female defendant held him tightly with her hands, until he was stripped of the belongings he was carrying.

    Gold Chains
While this was happening, the citizen accompanying the victim, was paralysed due to the shock caused by such acts. The defendant took advantage of this to pull her and snatch two gold chains. That is why the male defendant was prosecuted for two crimes of Robbery with Violence or Intimidation, while the female defendant was sanctioned for only one, when considering her participation in the events provided for and sanctioned by current laws.

    Followed from a Bar
Both of the sanctioned were in a bar where the victims had been enjoying an evening out. They followed them when they left in order to intercept them.

    Socially Harmful & Manifest Disrespect
What happened is highly socially harmful, given the manifest disrespect of the accused towards the patrimony of others. It is difficult to understand how there are people who, unlike the vast majority of people who work honestly, commit acts like these.

    No Impunity
But in the end it is shown that there is NO impunity and that RIGOR prevails in criminal legal measures!

    HAVE YOUR SAY! Readers' Comments.

Thank you for the information, but I consider that acts like this are unacceptable in our society and since they stole, they could have caused his death and should have been punished with higher penalties.

    Martha Nodal
A strong hand with the sanctions! We cannot lose our peace of mind. These are very low sanctions. Later they'll have the sentence reduced for good conduct and we'll continue in the same.

    Saint Louis Fernandez
Publish their names and background, to de-characterize them and make them public knowledge!

    Maricela Zaldivar
It seems to me that the sanction is very light. Crimes like these should be punished with exemplary sanctions so they think very carefully about reoffending and so that criminal behaviour like this does not proliferate.

    Julio Alejandro Diaz Eagle
I recommend that whenever you have a photo of the perpetrators, publish them here, as is commonly said.

    Edelmira Soto Smith
Why don't they show the faces of these subjects? Why do we have to protect their identity? I don't understand that, I really don't.

    Julio Perera Ferrer
I sincerely consider, in my opinion, that this sentence is benevolent. I consider it a crime of extreme violence. The reaction of the victim girl is normal, after a surprise attack like that. Now they know how to act as camouflage for good behaviour in prison and will soon once again be out on the street. But everyone knows that it is NOT to rejoin society.

    Isabella Perez
In 5 years this man will be on the street assaulting and stealing again

    Luisa Maria Sanda Carvajal
I think the laws should be more severe we are experiencing a lot of violence

    Livan Bern
The sentence seems very light to me. As long as the severity of these sentences does not increase, the violence will not decrease

    Maria Herminia Gonzalez
    Permanent jail for them!

    Richard German
Very good for our authorities. There is no impunity for crimes!

    Luis Miguel Dominguez
Good that justice be done, but the laws should be more rigorous. Robbery with violence and intimidation of people is also a terrorist act.
