Yeah I was thinking this. I've never heard of the club covering the pitch before and have definitely never seen an article about it on the site. I'm guess the Premier League had a quiet word reminding the club of their obligation to actually finish football matches!

 

I think it's more likely that the club don't want to run the risk of losing the Sky money if the match is called off.
