Lets hope this one is sorted out soon. Would love to have him on board, looks a cracking prospect.

Beagrie stated on Sky sports it was a done deal.

Warnock will be doing his nut !!!

    Lovely..;D :D

Peter beagrie let slip on Sky sports that it was a done deal last weekend.

He has top notch links with Scunny and should know.

Billy Sharp come on down the price is right.:D

No, what Beagrie said was that we had bid. That was it. And Warnock is unlikely to be doing his crunch: he released him from Sheff Utd a couple of yrs ago...

did he say itwas a done deal to come to us or just that he was leaving scunny?

We need at least one striker more proven than Hoskins.

I agree with lowerrous, we do need a striker that is more proven than Hoskins. I believe that person to be either Billy Sharp or Collins John... but i think it is more likely that Billy Sharp would come as Collins John reportedly rejected personal terms with us

we need a premiership proven striker. billy sharp is not that. somebody like collins john, alan smith , rossi etc.

Spot on! How people can suggest Sharpe is any more proven than Hoskins I simply do not know...

We do hence Aidy going for John,Alan Smith and even Rossi at different times this season I think.

at the start of the window we asked for 2 young strikers with potential and a experienced prem one. we've got the 2 young ones (which makes me believe we will not get sharp) so now aidy needs to stop looking at players from leagues below and start looking at premieship players. after all we (well me personally) want to stay in this league first and foremost ahead of doing up the stadium of building for the future. we can do that in the summer but lets put staying up our first priority:)

Boothroyd would be foolish to sign Sharp and Hoskins as the two strikers we need as the risk would be enormous. Those wanting sharp, i'd advise you not to get your hopes up now we've signed Hoskins.
Robbie Earnshaw is EXACTLY the type of player we need, he HAS scored GOALS in the PREMIERSHIP and has been in excellent form this season. He's not a championship striker he's a premiership striker.

I do not think for one moment Norwich would sell him to us...probably a fellow Championship side next season.

    Why not ?

They have no reason not to sell him to us if we offer the right deal, ie. £3-£3.5M plus Francis ;D

If Norwich did sell on of the Championship's topscorer unless it was a really silly offer (like 6-7 million...remeber they paid West Brom 3.5 million for him anyway or he *asked to leave) then they would deserve any abuse the fans give that board?

Would be a good move for us ofcourse so not saying no...just think we would have no chance of getting Earnshaw personally but I guess we will not know without trying.

    * I am guessing he would not really want to leave Carrow Road to join us however based on our position but then the 2 Rotherham lads did.

Was looking all good chewitt until you mentioned Francis - how about £2.5 million, and we send Francis to the auctions with no reserve.;D

Shall we put him on ebay like the manure fans did with Darren Fletcher ?

Earnshaw will want to join a stable Premiership team, he's probably sick of The Championship.
