EXCLUSIVE: Watford are now weighing up a move for Everton midfielder Beni Baningime. #WFC #WatfordFC #EFL_HUB Everton central midfielder who has been on loan to Wigan, but mainly an U23 player for Everton and was an unused substitute during the run in last season. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/beni-baningime/profil/spieler/399369
Most likely, but if this was to go through, it would have to be a permanent transfer. I see little point in getting someone who has hardly ever played, even at Championship level, just on loan.
He gets a good...err, write-up here. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/roya...ctive-minutes-everton-southampton-match-recap Played all of one game whilst on loan at Wigan since January. It must be said, even though we’ve sunk into the Championship, the names linked this summer so far have been thoroughly uninspiring and a club devoid of ideas in the market.
He doesn't appear to be as crap as his stats suggest. It looks like he's one of those players who has always got someone ahead of him in the pecking order at an established Premier League club. Bit more concerning how he didn't break through on his loan at Wigan, but that was a year ago. If we got him permanently that would be well worth a punt, but if it's just a loan, then I'm not so sure. He looks like he has a similar game to Doucoure, being box-to-box, but clearly a lot further behind Doucoure in his development. Not sure Everton would allow him to leave on a permanent, but it could be the sweetener to get the deal over the line. We need Toffeeblue's view on him.
Well things get better and better. A guy who couldn’t get into the Wigan team battling relegation. What is the point? I guess we have asked for 5 or 6 players on loan and been told “no” and we are now at the “there must be someone, literally anyone, that you can loan us”
Have it on good authority that we only want players who have more letters in their surname than Doucoure. They offered Gordon and we said no, so he signed a new deal. We asked for Sigurdsson, Branthwaite or Calvert-Lewin but they all called us tinpot. We want the same or more amount of letters due to the huge amount of shirts we will be selling in Kelme stores in China so the more letters the new Chinese fanbase get printed on their shirts, the more money we have and we won’t need to sell anyone else. Gino = Genius.
Wasn't his fault he didn't play much at Wigan. Looks a great player with no evidence at all to support it. What's his xG like?
It's true.....we've gone from signing exciting talents like Sarr or high profile names like Welbeck, to signing Murray and maybe Fessi or this guy.......but that's the price of failure at the top. We, as fans have to readjust to a degree. If we view these incoming players as squad additions rather than first teamers, then that's ok. The issue will arise when players like Capoue, Deulofeu, Sarr, Suarez actually go and we're left with something very ordinary indeed.....but I'm hopeful we'll retain a few real gems and that will be enough to get us promoted. Seeing Sarr, Suarez, Pedro, Estupinan, Quina, Ngakia in the starting line up has to excite fans. Holding onto Hughes and Foster is also very good business.....and maybe we can keep Capoue and Deulofeu too for a while at least. It could be very exciting or depending on sales, very depressing. I guess the next few weeks will decide that.
Yes "squad additions" of this calibre are great as long as we never need them to play for us. If we expect a guy who couldn't get in the Wigan team to help get us promoted then we are dreaming. I don't understand why we can't bring in some loan players who are excellent quality from the top 6 prem sides as Derby and Leeds did last year rather than cheap fodder like this guy ?
Good thing for the Everton fans that this lad doesn't play for them, because they'd tie themselves in knots spelling his name
No I remember this chap. He was 'Showbiz' editor of the Daily Mail in the late '70s. Looked a bit like Starsky and Hutch's boss.
Yes they are. I fell for one of these yesterday and they sent for the Whoosh Magnet. Benny Bangemin. Not falling for this one, I've learnt my lesson...
Even better if there are players in the squad that shouldn't make the team no matter how poorly the team is playing, as the manager and owner can't then be critised for not giving other players a chance.
Had we started Cathcart every game last season we'd have finished top half, and you can't prove otherwise!!
This would be ideal, but we still shouldn't let this stop us from calling for their inclusion, no matter how unjustified.
