Twatter rumours of a 2m bid from sunderland

 

If true suspect this could be a goer. Sad the way it went for him last season as he has been decent for us, but can't see him getting many games next season with the players we already have let alone those being linked.

£2m for a 32 year old (nearly) who played about 15 minutes last season looks like a good deal all round and hopefully game time for Ben.

 

Been a true professional for us. Would wish him well if he decided to leave

 

Good deal for both parties if true. He's clearly good enough to play at the top end of the Championship and did well enough for us in our first Premier League season. It was never revealed what the personal reasons were that kept him out for a long period last season, but hopefully whatever they were, that situation has worked out ok for him.

I gained a greater appreciation of his somewhat erratic efforts at set piece taking during Quique's time when Capoue took over the right footed role last year. Whatever happens this season, please can we never let Capoue take another corner or free kick ever again?

 

£2m for Watson. The genius of Gino strikes again. Really appreciate what Watson has done here but that's a cracking deal.

 

He came to Watford to be closer to his family, so the personal stuff is probably a long term issue. Hopefully it has worked out.

Sunderland is quite a long way to go in the other direction.

Why can't Brentford, Fulham or Charlton do him a favour?

Should just go for a straight swap for Pickford.

 

So for the sale price of Watson and Guidioura we ve bought Hughes .

Hughes may or may not make the step up but there is a reasonable chance he could be worth 20m in 3 years time
