    Good spots, but I was thinking of football stadia that have a stand that actually overlooks a river (so I was wrong about Forest in that regard). Having looked at those grounds you listed, Craven Cottage remains the only stadium I know of in that category - the others are separated from the river by a car park or terrace, apart from Sheffield Wednesday, where the river is next to the reception entrance and I imagine you can't go out there during matches. That's a beautiful setting Arbroath is in BTW, funny that they play in the Scottish Championship but are still only semi-professional.

    Apparently they will remain semi-professional even if they get promoted to the Premiership through the play-offs.
