I've said it elsewhere or possibly on this thread already. This is the signing that makes the least sense out of the ones we've made
Presumably all in penalties won by him. NEW YORK(Thursday, June 16, 2022) – The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found New York Red Bulls forward Ashley Fletcher guilty of simulation/embellishment in the 58th minute of New York’s match against the Charlotte FC on Saturday, June 11 (VIDEO). Fletcher has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions.
Worst part of that is I don't think I could see the cowards/incompetents running things here overturning that, and half the onwatching fans and pundits would start yelling about how he has a 'right to go down'.
Wasn't even in the squad for their big derby against some other team from New York. Rumours he fell foul of the 'rule of 11 competent footballers'.
Not in the NYRB squad, and not mentioned on their injury report. Could definitely do a job for us next season, though. Glad we got him tied down to a long-term deal.
Ditch Hornets as a nickname and rebrand ourselves as Watford Thunderbirds. In fact, here's Duxbury modelling the new away shirt...
Sounds like he’s unfit and doesn’t want to be playing in the MLS. Bring him back ASAP, let Edwards work with him and see if he can get a tune out of him.
Another MLS match day passes without Fletcher being able to make it into the NYRB squad. For the record, this is a club that at in their history, has seen their attack spearheaded by Bradley Wright-Phillips and Shrewbury legend, Luke Rodgers. Dud.
And the game-winning goal notched by a 16-year-old child who had 21 prior senior minutes in his career to date preferred to our boy Ash, no less.
Mmm, did occur to me that it was more composed than most of our lot would have been in the situation, tbqph.
Bet he’s having a lovely holiday. £13k a week, weekends off in NYC Good for him. Some of our signings are just unbelievably poor. Both in quality and value for money
You know things are bad when Ashley Fletcher seems a better option than the strikers we're being linked with
I know people are complaining about this current transfer window but it just got a whole lot worse. Out of all the signings last summer this is the worst by a country mile
