Jimmy drops one! Would have been special but we 'catches win matches'

Great start, but Hussey always seems to perform against England. :forehead:

They've got a foothold in the game now somewhat.

Compared with the start they had yes, but if we can get rid of Hussey this session this could still be a low total for the aussies.

Great start for England - I'm surprised by the lack of fight in the Aussies but England certainly did the job perfectly.

Going to try an allnighter this eve or at least till 4am when tea is taken. Managed last test to do that but impossible 2 days in a row! We have got to really look to bat 2 days and go for the innings win or do we go for quick scoring or a pitch that has a reputation for it but knowing the risk of a last innings struggle

I also am going try this tonight. I managed to get to Tea in the last test on the last day. This was mostly because I was watching Cook and Trott break all the records. So I think I might try again tonight, hopefully England can produce some solid batting. Without wanting to wish wickets away I fancy seeing Pietersen bat later, he must be itching to get in after he missed out on all the records last time!

Well apart from the Strauss brainstorm, OK so far thanks to another missed chance in the Field by the Aussies

we will probably collapse and loose the last 6 wickets for 200 runs :drinking:

I think if the weather for Day 5 is wet as predicted this has draw written all over it.

Could be right, that is why we must declare overnight and then look to get some quick wickets straight away. To be honest, like PYA said we could collapse for only another 200 runs, their attack is that poor it is unbelievable. Bollinger especially kept bowling half track balls to KP that he just swiped for 4 each time but one thing it did do, was spin. Swan will be the key for an England win I feel and even Collingwood with medium pace off cutters will danger them, like Watson's medium pace for them.
