Lucas João, Ross Stewart, Ben Wiles, Da Silva and Cooper are all decent players. I'm sure Stewart will stay at Sunderland if they go up.

I’d take O’Connell from Sheff Utd at the back too if he’s as good as he was, I haven’t kept up,

 

Would rather Cooper. O’Connell hasn’t played any football in 2 years I believe.

Cooper is incredible in the air - arguably the best in the league. I fear he is a bit one dimensional other than that and in particular isn’t great at tackling/ground duels and is slow. You can hide those things in a back three, with the right players, but I don’t think Porteous and Hoedt complement that profile very well. Still, would be silly to turn our noses up against such an excellent player at this level on a free
