To somebody just browsing the forum without logging in, potential new users say, they slow the page loading time right down and make it a nightmare to view. If you want the number of people joining to increase (and get whatever the benefits from advertising there are) they need to be turned off.
OK, here are the new rules regarding signatures, (after reading up on them and how they can badly affect the site): Signature images MUST be uploaded, you can no longer link to an external site, (I was wondering why we were getting close to our monthly bandwidth limit) Animated signature files, (gif's), cannot be uploaded Maximum size for a signature image is 500x150 pixels Only 1 image allowed in a signature Maximum characters in a signature is 150 The above rules will now make the whole site run faster, use way less bandwidth and make the threads appear nice and readable again, (remember the vast majority of our readers are lurkers).
For a while, but got tiring quickly. Keep all the funny animations to their own thread and everyone is a winner. In fact, Why not post them here?
whats an animated signature? oh, you mean these: The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a bitmap image format that was introduced by CompuServe in 1987 and has since come into widespread usage on the World Wide Web due to its wide support and portability.
You're harsh barstewards. I saw like 10 amazingly funny signature worthy animated gifs after this happened, phucking London buses.
I wondered why my Dynamo and Rockets emblems had become links. This explains why. Sad times. p.s. Mick McCarthy was the best thing about this place. p.p.s. Special mention for the hoover.
