Just like with Udinese & Pozzo Snr, I suspect CSKA Sofia rumours will be plenty because of the Giaretta connection. First off the rank is 28-yr old defensive midfielder Amos Youga. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/amos-youga/profil/spieler/203540 Any veracity is lessened by TopSport thinking we received €9m for Capoue, they claim Jarretta [sic] is the boss of Watford & there's doubt over how long Youga has been at CSKA if you compare details with transfermarkt. Maybe it's down to the translation, but there you go. https://topsport.bg/cska/tsska-redi-transfer-v-angliya.html CSKA arrange a transfer to England? CSKA may make an unexpected transfer in the coming days. The Reds could sell Amos Youga to Watford, Match Telegraph claims. Former Army sports director Cristiano Jarretta, who is currently the boss of the "hornets", is involved in the deal. The Championship team sold its strongest midfielder Etienne Capu to Villarreal. The deal is due to be finalized on January 4th. For him, Watford received 9 million euros. Yuga arrived at CSKA as a free agent and signed for 3 years. Since the beginning of the season, he has distinguished himself as one of the best players of the "reds".
I’ve been following this guy’s career closely for years He first hit my radar when he joined Vannes and remained there until June 2014 when signing for Gazélec Ajaccio of Ligue 2.[1] Would be an unbelievable signing IMO
Makes sense, style wise fits what we need, but might be underwhelming (though that's not a surprise). Had 2.2 tackles per 90 and 1.4 interceptions per 90 in CSKA Sofia's 6 Europa League games. 1 key pass per 90. Whoscored rating of 6.71. All decent, but unspectacular stats. Seemed to do well in their 2 games vs Roma though (7.04 and 7.36 ratings). Based on the highlights below he seems very good with both feet, has a decent passing range, and seems a bit of a unit (which we know we lack in the middle). Seems a bit reckless in some of his challenges though and seems to collect a fair few cards. Funnily enough he played a few times in midfield next to Pape Gueye for Le Havre last season, though Gueye seemed to be ahead of him in the midfield pecking order - Gueye pretty much started every match, while Youga was as often either on the bench or starting as a CB as he was starting as a midfielder. Given both Giaretta and the Pozzos' scouts will have subsequently watched a fair bit of him, we can only hope that they've seen enough to be confident that he's a good choice. He should be cheap at least, which could hopefully leave funds for a striker.
I'm looking forward to random French posters joining the forum and giving us full chapter and verse on him only to be shouted down by our forum's version of the monkey who watches all the TV screens in Toy Story 3.
True. Tbh I showed more emotion when WBA scored an offside goal than when Gray threaded Cleverly through for his goal. I was surrounded by Norwegian gooners just to clarify on why I did it.
He looks like the type of player that we need, we are in need o a big strong ball winner to protect our back four. Watching yesterday's game it was just evident that our midfield will be too soft without Capoues interceptions and ball winning ability, the amount of time that Seemed as midfield had on the ball was ridiculous.
Have heard this guy is very flexible on a move to Vicarage Road. He'd be the downward dog's b0llocks if here were to sign IMO. Get. It. Done.
Maybe we can take advantage of our connections to seal the deal and ask Gueye to put in a good word for us
