The level of secrecy since the takeover is amazing (though it's entertaining too as it keeps us all speculating!) Last pre season, I'm sure the official site would have had a piece today saying 'WFC are taking a squad of xx players to Cork, this includes xx triallists etc etc'. Don't the powers that be realise if they were more forthcoming with details of new arrivals, it might sell a few more season tickets?

According to Talk Sport this afternoon his Arsenal contract expired at £50,000 per week. Granted he was signed on a free - it makes you wonder what our new wage structure is going forward?
