The Watford is working hard to resolve all contractual situations of the players in the squad. After Cristian Battocchio (which today agreed to continue the adventure in London for three more years), but the goalkeeper Manuel Almunia is linked to Watford with a new contract for next season.
I'm loving how each deal is being announced separately, to give us chance to enjoy each one. Remember last year where on one day I think 4 or 5 signings were announced at the same time?
Believe it or not I posted this at about ONE MINUTE past six, I thought I had hit the wrong button or something? I suppose so many of us must have been trying to post at once that the system could not cope, but hey never mind, the important thing is HE HAS SIGNED!!! Edit: Furthermore, if Johnny Eustace is leaving us, this solves the new club captain dilemma IMO!!!
Great signing. With 3 new defenders we need some continuity in defence and also a keeper who talks to defence. Very happy
Cassetti, Batto, Pudil and now Almunia. A seriously excellent Friday and with McGugan and Uche earlier this week. I have that feel good feeling especially as these are top players who seem to WANT to play for the club.
