Na, they've got a billionaire owner. You have to push the boat out to stay in this league if you're not a big club. Narrch showed what happens when you don't.
I agree. They are making some solid acquisitions. They are young and British too generally, so should have a decent sell on value either way and shouldn't have too many problems bedding in. I think they will stay up again this season.
Apparently Ibe is now stalling on signing a contract with Bournemouth as he's waiting to see any other offers. Could potentially mean that if we offered the same we may be a more attractive proposition as he would have Sinclair who he already knows here.
I heard that the contract that Liverpool agreed on had a buy-back and sell-on clause; not sure if Gino would go for that.
Yeah I mean if the contract being offered is one that the pozzos deamed suitable then it may be an option because he seems a player that would fit the Pozzo model perfectly. Young, potential and already has PL experience. And we may be able to strike up a better deal with Liverpool if we went for the Allen and Ibe duo as a package. Id much prefer Allen but if Ibe is available then I think either would be good additions to our squad
There's still Zielinski. Could be a good bargaining tool. By the sound of it he still has his heart set on joining them. Wilmer has also been mentioned.
Stoke have agreed a fee of £13mil with Liverpool for Joe Allen. At that price I think we should try and hijack the deal.
Or several Scott Fitzgerald's, as according to ancient myth passed down throw the generations he didn't cost a groat.
